    $10,000,000.00 / YR

    26.4mpg, 7.4ppg (37.8% FG, 33.9% 3P, 74.4% FT), 3.9rpg, 1.8apg, 0.8bpg, 0.9spg... 10.3 PER... But good defense.

    What do y'all think?

Even when he's not shooting well, the opponents are reluctant to leave him open. Also, he's 3rd in dftg in the entire league. His d is indispensable to the Spurs' success.

He plays up to his contract when he faces Harden and the Rockets. He has absolutely torched us this season compared to his regular season averages

That'll be about 10%/cap for your starting 2. I'd say he's worth it. 30% of your cap space to lock down your starting wings and franchise player.

Nobody is underpaid on a 70 win team. That's is what their winning % is at, right now.

10M sounds expensive but when the cap rises by 30% you can expect the salaries to rise by 30% as well.

Let's say the market value for guys like him are really 7M PER (same money paid to Ariza, Bev and Brew). 30% of 7 is 9.1 so technically I'd say he is a bit overpaid but honestly it doesn't matter on the Spurs since they have so many underpaid players starting from Kawhi, Duncan and all of the vets. Didn't they just pick up Kevin Martin for cheap? He is young, knows the system, provides good defense and doesn't need the ball to be effective. All of those intangible qualities tend to make up the difference of his contract.

Yeah, the icy hot Green has been spending too much time in Siberia this season, but considering our no. 1 foe is GSW, his defensive ability is more than worth the salary paid, especially if we can win it all this year.

Not to mention he has been underpaid the last few years before this contract was signed, so some of it is a make up gift for him. This is his first and might be last, major money contract, and the Spurs do take care their own, ones who has shown their mettle & loyalty through out their time with the team.

They take care of their players. Great organization all around and really good basketball to watch. Every night different guy steps up. Leonard is the best 2 way player in the league and Aldridge can definitely play, but they can't beat GS. It's pathetic how good they are.

Definitely not by the way he guarded Curry on Saturday. The guy is a excellent defensive player who can nail the 3.

Wesley Matthews 17.5 mil a year 11.9 ppg 38.4 fg% 34.6 3fg% and he plays in a system that can gives all the opportunity to make plays where green is in a system that decrease raw production

    Pretty much. End thread.

Could he be overpaid if he went to the 6ers, very likely...but not for the Spurs and that's all that matters.

If you can block a 3-pointer by Curry, you ain't overpaid.

He is worth the max on the new increased salary cap.
