I would love to see the rotation tighten up where DMO and Beasley get more minutes with DMO playing 5-4 and Beasley playing 4-3. With these two getting more playing time it is starting to be fun to watch the Rockets again. They along with Harden are fun to watch. JB just needs to be on them to make sure they don't easy up on defense and rebounding.

He can be used as a role player and do well. Technically though, he does have the ability to be more. I don't consider players role players when they can draw a double team like DMo does in the post, but maybe that takes us out of our offense too much.

Right! I hope in these last 10-15 games McDaniels can get a little more consistent so he can take all of Brewers minutes. Then playoffs we come out a different team from this season. I still have faith in this team being able to click just in time for when it reall matters. Granted I know we will look to have a trio of at least Beasley, Durant and Harden next year we may even try to replace Dwight with Whiteside...

Right I underestimated DMo... I thought after the back injury what he was would never be him again. But yeah that's right he can easily be more if we featured him more. He's a pretty good defender too he gives effort uses his height well. We definitely should trade him we should be doing what it takes to keep him longterm... I would actually move Dwight to keep Dmo.

I posted this in the game thread last night in response to some goofus, "king" or whatever, and realized this morning that I should have parked it here:
    ..............

Donuts is a young seven footer who's still developing, and who missed a hell of a lot of time right after easily playing the best ball of his NBA career. We have no idea just how good he could turn out to be, and it is highly dependent on his health, of course. You can make up your mind about the guy, I could care less, but it always amazes me how "certain" some people are in their opinions. This forum reminds me, from time to time, of people and politics in D&D. That's not a compliment.

Unfortunately, it's human nature for people to assume a position and accept all evidence that supports it, rather than the vice versa. Politics just bring out the worst in all aspects of human nature.

If DMo can ever string together a full healthy season, I think he'll be a very productive player and someone who can impact a playoff series (certainly could've helped us last year).

I would love to see more of the Ariza-Beasley-Motiejunas front line. A stretch PF and a stretch C running the floor with Harden.

That is what I've been saying all year.

That's the key with Donuts, isn't it. His health. If he can remain healthy, Donatas is a difference maker. Not a star. He has to improve and display that level of talent on a consistent basis to even talk about him as a "star player," but as you said, a very productive player and quite possibly an impact player during a playoff run. IF he can remain healthy. The interesting thing now is that he still isn't really in NBA shape.

Today he has a tough challenge, Paul Millsap, one of the worst PF for him to defend. We should punish Millsap on the other side though, we'll see...

The interesting thing in December was that Harden still wasn't really in NBA shape.. so..

True. Millsap is a monster that has a way of isoing his man and working him over. Will be interesting to see how DMo matches up with him.

I hope we keep him on a cheap contract, there's no telling what he could become. The only reason I wouldn't mind losing him is so people stop the obsession of him being the next great PF.

He probably isn't going to become much other than a great team role player. The thing is he knows how to create from the post. At worst he's a poor man's Bill Lambeer which is better than a selfish washed out superstar that doesn't really fit well next to Harden.

The spacing for Harden when Beasley and DMO are out there together is so good. Really opens the entire offense. You can almost see James getting wide eyed when there is no one in the lane.

Absolutely, we need a guy that is going to play the TEAM game and not the stand in the paint to keep my number of rebounds up at all cost game.

So many times the Atlanta announcers were laughing that Dwight would NEVER rotate out the corner shooter.

    Ball game - AGAIN !

He is really starting to get on my nerves, expecting other ppl from across the court to run and cover his man? what in gods name are you doing? Its getting to the point where he is a liability to the team, his defensive prowess isnt what it used to, and no way is it good enough to mask his nonchalant ways , and lack of effort. Brewer Terry and dwight killed us yesterday and JB is too dumb enough to see it
