I can't wait for the season to start! Yao mow-down everybody and dunk in the paint! Can we talk about Yao-for-MVP now?
Thanks for the video clips! The one where the PG dished the no-look over the shoulder pass to Yao for the slam was nice!! LOL! Notice how Yao came down full force on that guy's foot? Damn, that had to hurt! That spin to hook move was impressive as well....can't wait for the season to start!!
you've got to kidding, right? that's being smart, letting your defenders know that he's 7'5" and 320 lbs. yao should always stay within 7 feet of the basket and dunk when possible. he should punish his apponents who push him in the back with their forearms by going at them.
So if somebody pushes you around are you gonna lay on the ground and curl up in a ball? Of course not, you gotta turn around and push the guy back even harder. Yao is learning the right way.
LOL!! The vision of somebody doing that cracks me up. Seriously, Yao is just doing it to them before they do it to him! "Let your oponent graze your skin and you smash into his flesh; let him smash into your flesh and you fracture his bones; let him fracture your bones and you take his life! Do not be concerned with your escaping safely, lay your life before him!" Direct quote of Bruce Lee from his book: Tao of Jeet Kune Do
Iverson is a little bully. Not very sportsmanship-like. He shouldn't use his little size and quickness cross all over people.
Do I get a finder's fee?? LOL! Just kidding... It's always been one of my favorite quotes from Bruce Lee.
Another Bruce Lee quote: "He who knows not and knows not he knows not, he is a fool--shun him. He who knows not and knows he knows not, he is simple--teach him. He who knows and knows not he knows, he is asleep--awaken him. He who knows and knows he knows, he is wise--follow him" - Bruce Lee
I downloaded all those downloads and still cant get the clip to play. The only thing now is is that I dont know how to uninstall all those worthless downloads.
Man, Bruce Lee had a lot of great quotes that apply very well to basketball and many other things. Did he "steal" those from Confucius or someone? RocketForever, I like the signature you have now. Reminds me of "The Matrix". (which stole shamelessly from everyone and did it very well) Just wanted to say that the downloads worked for me and I really enjoyed the clips. Thanks to both of you who are responsible. I sure hope Yao can retain the quickness he showed during the long season. And he is defintely "bigger".
Nope, those are all his own words. Alot of people don't know this, but when he attended college in Seattle Washington, he majored in Philosophy. He also gave lectures at different schools. "Using no way as way, having no limitation as limitation". -- Bruce Lee
Texas Stoke, your missing out on quite a treat! Maybe save the videos to floppies and take em to one of your bud's computers with the latest version of Windows Media Player. Definately worth watching! Also, about the codecs...they are harmless to leave on your computer.
thanks WinknCatForever for the quote from B. Lee. enjoyed it very much. i didn't know he majored in philosophy. wow. he's an even bigger hero in my eyes now.
If you were trying to say Bruce Lee stole the quote, who do you think he has stolen it from? If you were trying to say I stole the quote from Bruce Lee, I think I am just quoting him. Is it considered to be stealing? Last time I checked a lot of posters on this board quote what other people have said in their sigs.
When it comes to quoting, we all steal from other thieves. This quote: sounds a lot like what Socrates said--or whatever quotes Plato stole from him.
I don't know if Bruce Lee comes out these words by himself but it sure sound familiar to LaoZi's(Or Lao Tze) Tao philosophy. If you learn Tai Ji, you'll know what I mean.
