    But would we be interested?

I would love to see the big guy back. He was one of the hardest working guys and improved every year he was with us. I think he's a better option than any of our current PFs.

yup. that, together with 3 other PFs on the knicks, makes him very much available.

Okay, so did anyone start a thread about how Tim Hardaway's available now? The Pacers just signed Kenny Anderson, and that's fresh news, so does that mean we need a Tim Hardaway thread now because he's apparently not gonna be resigned there? Is that it? There are several other b.s. FA's just like him and Othella that we could start threads about...shall we?

If Othello knows what's good for him he will stay in the East.

With him starting here we would still have one of the worst PF tandum in the west. I love the guy's work ethic but he's not a great fit in the west.

So Othella harrington's a free agent?

He would not be a bad pick-up. They could do much worse.

I wouldn't put Othella Harrington in the same category as Tim Hardaway. Hardaway is washed up. But Othella is still fairly young and has a lot of game left. Plus he's an ex Rocket who was a fan favorite because of his work ethic and hustle on the court.

"Peter Vecsey of the New York Post: Sources reveal Memphis is desperately trying to obtain a center, namely Hawk Nazr Mohammad ($5M/$5.2M/$5.9M), after failing to pry away Erick Dampier from the Warriors. With the exception of Mike Miller (about to be rewarded with a plush contract) and James Posey, the Grizzlies would be happy to give up any of their many small forwards/off guards - Wesley Person or Shane Battier, for instance. Look for Michael Dickerson to announce his retirement due to medical reasons."

How about we work out a Person/Swift/Battier for Mobley/Cato?

We'd be pretty loaded in the 2/3/4 positions, and if Moochie is really serious, the addition of Mike Wilks and his new attitude locks up the PG spot too. That would basically leave us needing someone who will play 5-10 minutes, sign for the minimum, and not worry about minutes. Cherokee Parks or N'Diaye would be decent.

    Yao/Swift/MoT/Griff/N'Diaye(IL)
    MoT/Swift/EGriffin
    Battier/Rice/AGriffin/Boki
    Pike/Person/Francis
    Francis/Moochie/Wilks

Othella is not a FA...he's an injured player who couldn't be traded until after he clears medical testing...after the start of the season and after training camp. Why bother....

Even if Othella weren't injured and it was a proven fact that the Knicks were offering him...why would the Rockets do this? There was a logjam at PF when KT was here and KT is much better than Othella.

Man I hated to see Dickerson go...I thought for sure he would go on to have a great career. That really is a shame about the injuries.

Dickersons versitality, really fits him here. However he had a bad season last year when he was pretty much on the sideline, due to injuries. But he got game!

I really dont think we need to add to the 4 spot just yet. Let the season start and see what we have...or dont have as the case may be?

I'm very sorry to hear this about Dickerson. He had the makings of a star and was a class act off the court.

Memphis is trying to free up space in their loaded backcourt, why would they take Cuttino Mobley!?

This is great news. I also heard that "Tree Rollins Available", but I decided to post it in this thread instead of starting a new one. In addition, my sources inform me that Greg Kite Available.
