so it would've been bad if he had longer arms and averaged even more rebounds?

cato has a low rebounding avg? last I checked he was #4 in rebounds per 48 last season. [16.5 per 48, or 5.9 in 17.1mpg]

on the other hand, you know everything. my mistake.

The "per 48 minutes" stat is a B.S. stat. I guess EG average 17 pts per 48 or 12 rebs per 48. Who cares? The stat is a hypothetical or a what if stat. Nonsense!

It's not a useless or "what if" stat, especially if you look at it for what it is: efficiency. Cato makes the absolute most of the minutes in the game when it comes to rebounding. I'm not saying that he would lead the league in rebounds or even be 4th best if he got 48 minutes...but if you've got 20 some-odd minutes to spare and you need rebounds, there are few better than Kelvin.

Sure, it would have been better.

But it's not like his "short arms" hampered him or made him a bad rebounder.

He made up in other ways; quick jumper, and quick hands.

They didn't make him a bad rebounder, but to say they didn't hamper him is just ridiculous. Has Willis ever averaged one block for a season in his entire career?

    Nope.

I think his short arms are definitely a factor in keeping his blocks relatively low (for a 7'5" guy). Long armed guys just get more blocks, look at Keon Clark, Dream, Gasol, etc.

I think Yao Ming needs to start lifting weights. He once said that he isnt a big fan of lifting weights. I dont know about yall but ive never seen a strong looking chineese person. They are usually all short. They are strong but not in a Steve Austin, The Rock, and Goldberg type bodies. :)

Remember Bolo Yeung? Bolo was in Bloodsport and Enter the Dragon, to name only two. There are plenty of other examples for you. Don't believe the stereo-hype.

The Rock is part(I think half) Indonesian (if you consider that Asian). Indonesia won the gold medal more than any country in the past 8 or 10 Olympics.

Looks like Yao enjoys every single moment of the endless press conferences.
