I don't know whether it's good or bad but it seems an even trade to me.

    Why either way?

I don't think either of them will make it to #6 actually. I think Cleveland and Dallas will draft them. Jerry figures last year was an aberration and he will never get to draft this high again. The long term monetary value for Dallas to have Pro Bowl level QB is maybe a billion dollars, and Tony is getting a plate in his
    shoulder.

But by the mocks above, they would.

Would likely need to throw in our 1st rounder as well at the very minimum, would probably take much more than that in actuality. Dropping that far in a draft is going to take multiple picks and while Clowney was the #1 overall pick, you can't value him nearly that high.

Agreed. It's not like the Ravens can't just draft a pass rusher themselves. There'd be plenty of talents available then.

Well dumbass McClain has Spence falling to #30, so the Ravens might be able to trade down. Although that is based on dumbass McClain being right.

Again it just seemed like a plausible win/win trade to me. If, if you think one of these two guys is your franchise quarterback. If you hate tell me why/

Why would the Ravens do it? To go up to 6 from 22, the Texans will need more than a former #1 pick who is already two years into his rookie deal. And that's not bringing up the durability issues of JD. A lot can happen between 6 and 22.

Anyone who thinks Clowney gets even a mid first-rounder must suck off Rick Smith.

    Don't need to....

Clowney and our pick for Wentz or Goff would be a stellar move for this team. No way in hell they do it but it's a risk worth taking.

If this were Madden instead of real life then it would be a move someone might make. In reality, a move like that potentially dooms your franchise. Losing a potential pro bowl defensive player for a QB in a terrible QB draft would be a pants on head r****ded move. One that would get a GM fired even suggesting that he was thinking about it.

Barring trades, my ideal Top3 picks for HOU are:
    1) Ogbah,
    2) Carroo and
    3) B. Allen or C. Hackenburg

Is there any qb you like? Every year you bag on pretty much any qb we could even have a chance at. At some point you need to get a qb and run with him. The garbage we keep throwing out is not going to cut it. I guess I'm r****ded b/c to me it is a no brainer to give up Clowney (still hasn't shown much more than injuries) to get either Goff or Wentz.

Just ignore him. I promise you it's better. People engaging him ruins forums.

He went from trashing Mallet to loving him and trashing Hoyer. He just thinks he is the smartest person alive about every subject he comments on and trashes any opinion other than his as not just wrong, but downright stupid.

this should tell you everything you need to know

and this wraps it up with a nice bow. I cannot fathom why people don't have him on ignore, or still try to actually engage him in a logical discussion.

To be fair, I think all of you complaining about him is just as annoying.

So he changed views on someone. I thought Mallet was the answer at first too, he most definitely was not. Now i wasn't as opinionated as him but I don't feel the need to call him out either.

*insert response on whether or not I am actually him now*

First, people complaining about other people aren't what's driven down the quality of the texans forum.

Second, it's fine to change your mind and admit that you're wrong. The problem is when you continue to make an argument despite all the facts and common knowledge telling you otherwise. To make it worse, every mention discussion seems to devolve into some weird Hoyer hate fetish and don't you dare mention that Clowney has not lived up to a #1 pic.

Differing of opinions is fine, but spamming the message board ridiculousness is not. You must have not been here very much last draft or the first half of the season.
