When Jabbar took a dump on Dwight concerning his b-ball IQ, he wasn't wrong at all. It's just that it makes it considerably harder for him to develop an offensive game and will probably be out of league once his athleticism has completely diminished.

Dwight has always been a one dimensional player. I mean literally one dimensional.

Guy can only do anything around the rim with freak athleticism. That is his game. Dunks, blocks, and rebounds. Nothing more. No jumpers, no free throws, no defense outside the paint.

And now the freak athleticism is gone. I was disappointed Morey didn't even go for a 25cent on the dollar trade for him because it would be a huge mistake to re-sign him even for cheap.

We need players that actually FIT with Harden. That would be a stretch 5 who can knock down threes.

He's been done since 2011. He never really developed much skill offensively and always relied on his athleticism, jumping over defenders and just being big around the rim. Defensively he just rebounded and blocked shots something that comes easy to a super athlete like Dwight. Now at 30 he isn't jumping out of the gym anymore and his lack of offensive skill is now showing. Simple post moves like over the right shoulder is something that looks very uncomfortable to him.

    Elite player? Lol...

Howard has nothing to do with "elite".

He has no heart. He is soft as people said.

I wish he leave here for his fat contract.

That is bull****. There are a lot of insane athletes in the NBA like Drummond and DeAndre Jordan and they never had the impact that Dwight did defensively. Dwight Howard's workouts are actually supposed to be legendary and when he was with the Magic his defensive impact was absurd. And you can't have that kind of impact without understanding the game.

The saddest part is he is not even elite on the defensive side of the ball anymore... this dud lost his mojo real fast.

It's pretty clear by now Howard is not the answer for this team.

    Let him walk.

Team plays better without Howard it seems. Every other big on the team sets screens

So what you're saying is he either can't do it physically anymore or isn't trying....or both.

maybe he's playing hurt in order to preserve his free agent value this summer. in any case, we should just shut him down for the rest of the season...

    1) since he's not re-signing anyways it allows capella to get more pt/development for next season
    2) might help us miss the playoffs and save our draft pick plus spare us the embarrassing massacre vs GS or SAS in the 1st round
    3) if dwight were to suffer some serious injury between now and the end of april, then he might not even opt out this summer, thus foiling all of maury's grand plans

He just really needs to accept that he is very limited on offense. He is not BEN WALLACE limited, but he is limited to get dunks, putbacks, etc. Just accept who you are.

I agree about shutting him down, but it once again begs the question why the hell Morey didn't trade him even for pennies? Any valuable asset like draft picks will be useful. Now we may lose him for nothing (and we better not re-sign this clown).

never like dwight after he was killed again and again By Yao, thx for the good memory for last year's run, but please don't resign this guy showing no heart and no work ethic, turns ball over every time he tries something on the low post and just walks away like nothing happened....

Dwight sucked ass yesterday. Getting outplayed by Aldrich.
Harden still has done nothing to fix his **** tier defense though. Every game theres one of these:
