If JVG has Francis playing the starting Point Guard then he needs to average more assists and less rebounds, he needs to sacrifice for the Teams sake. 19pts/gm 8asts/gm.3 stls/gm. Mobley if he comes of the bench he must take high percentage shots and must be prepared to pass the ball on ever other occasion. He must have confidence in Yao Ming. 17pts/gm 3 asts/gm Yao Ming, must play like a 7'6'' Center, shoot all high percentage shots and pass to an open shooter on all other times. 18pts/gm 12 rbs/gm 3 blocks/gm. 3 asts/gm.
cuttino is coming off the bench for who exactly? and if he does, he's still getting 17 ppg, damn. yao: 17.6ppg 9.9 reb (and i'm pissed that he didn't grab the extra 4 he needed to be credited with a double double season) 2.5 blks (he better get this much) cuttino: 15.8 ppg 3.5 rpg 2.9 apg people actually start to give him props for D after playing it for over 2 years steve: takes the season off to play PS2 and cruise around in his Hummer
All I care about is Francis turn overs per game. If his turnovers come down, it can only help the team. Then, it wont matter how many points each player gets. They all will get better assists to score. Points per game doesn't equate winning. Team work and efficiency does. If Francis can get his turnovers below 3.0, I'll eat my hat. P.S. I remember last year, Francis was averaging 29 ppg at during one stretch. Someone made the comment that only a few players in history had averaged as much...(Jerry West)...something about "greatness," "winning championships," and blah, blah, blah... Again, ppg don't mean sh*t, unless you can put it to use and play as a team.
