I have to give Morey credit, thank goodness he didn't overpay Dmo and Tjones. Especially Tjones, I cringe every time he enters the game. Very rarely is he a plus to the game.

Josh Smith is another example of overpaying for average talent.

I want the Warriors in the first round. Either we'll lose to a historic team or we'll win a historic upset. Don't see that happening but it's at least more interesting that just getting rolled by the Spurs.

It's like DD doesn't not understand that economics exist in basketball and equates spending excessively to winning.

because paying superstars and them getting hurt is any better?

The Mavs screwed up by only signing Parsons to a 2 year deal. If they would have signed him to a 4 year deal they'd have a sweet contract right now.

Mavs didn't have a choice. They were reaching for talent and Fegan wrote up a contract that benefited Parsons and the Mavs had to take it because that was the only way they could have been able to pry Parsons away since he was an RFA.

Did the Ol' Grease Bucket have anything important or new to say on 790? Perhaps, Keith Jones getting a well over-due premotion?

Nope, I understand completely that you need top players, and then middle of the road role players, which some might consider to be overpaid.

Harden is worth every penny, Dwight is not, Brewer is not, Lawson was not, DMo is, Ariza is, Bev is...keep the IS, jettison the not.

Funny, how we were chasing a few of the guys on that list under Morey, eh?

He is not the best playoff player - that is something that is a mythological being of epic proportions.

Okay, so are players paid what they are worth, or are they over valued and undervalued? You can't have both.

He has absolutely been the best Rockets player in the post season. Last season, he outplayed Chandler, Jordan and Bogut who are all top 10 centers. Your Dwight hate and love for D Mo is so YOU. Welcome back. The GARM isn't the same without your constant complaining.

Exactly. He gets on his high horse and declares the market is "the market". Players are neither under or over. Just is. And then changes his tune to fit his narrative.

I wonder who is the best playoff player on your book in this team?

With all due respect DD you obviously haven't watched the last two playoff seasons for the rockets. It ain't even close.
