Goudelock was originally a second-round pick of the Los Angeles Lakers in 2011, and played in 40 games his rookie season — alongside current Houston center Dwight Howard, as Feigen notes. Goudelock was waived after just one game played in the 2012-13 season, and has not appeared in the NBA since. Goudelock has notably dominated each level of basketball he’s played in other than the NBA. For the rest of the 2012-13 season, Goudelock played in the NBDL, splitting his time between the Sioux Falls Skyforce and Rio Grance Vipers, winning the league MVP while averaging 21.1 points and 5.2 assists per game. Goudelock averaged 22.1 points and shot 41.6% on three-point shots across 35 games with the Xinjiang Flying Tigers this season. Houston had room on their roster thanks to recently waiving Marcus Thornton and also buying out Ty Lawson. -------- Nothing terribly new other than his recent three point shooting in China.
6'3", a taller version of Canaan. I remember him playing down here for the RGV Vipers. Man can shot and create his own shot.
I think the Rockets wasted their time and money trying to sign pure point guards like Lawson. They should just sign up on cheap combo guards that can play next to Harden (defend and hit open hshots), and use their (near) max room next year for a SF or PF.
Hope it works out. I still don't get trading away Canaan and Troy Daniels. Both were perfect for our volume 3s offense. I blame McHale for not playing them, making them useless so Morey had to deal them
The Chinatown connections Pretty obvious. Beasley, big man on campus in China and now Goldilocks. Looks like even basketball fandom is being shipped overseas and lost at home
