Harden is the Spurs killer... even in a loss, I'm expecting him to drop 40+ tonight. I kinda wish Harden would just go on a tear for the rest of the season, kinda like what westbrook did in the 2nd half of last season. But maybe that's asking too much.
This really hasn't been the case lately. It used to be true, but Harden hasn't been all that great against the Spurs the last couple seasons. Hopefully tonight is different, though.
Hope they can pull off the W!! Come out with energy, play hard, build a solid lead and then Dwight/Josh/TJ better be hitting their FTs. If the last couple of games against the Spurs showed us anything, it is that they will use 'hack-a-whoever' to get back in the game.
A close game against yet another terrific Spurs team. (will they ever decline??) The Rockets pull out a victory at home. Spank the Spurs!
As much I dislike him this season (wasn't the case in the past), he has been performing really well last 15 games or so already, if you haven't noticed. Last year when Westbrook went on triple doubles spree, at the end of the day wasn't even good enough to make the playoffs. Don't wish Harden that, wish him to be more like LeBron. Because when Harden goes for 40, but doesn't distribute and turns the ball over, it's not worth a dime.
Kawahi Leonard's emergence has been a big reason for that. Refs allow him to reach and grab. Players with good defensive reps get away with so much more.
The thing is Kawhi doesn't really guard Harden a whole lot, though, which is surprising. Danny Green seems to always be the primary defender on Harden, with Kawhi thrown in for spurts against him.

Because primary defender loses his man after first set screen, and spurs set a lot of screens. So it doesn't matter that Kawhi doesn't begin defensive possession on Harden

We're taking this. Another statement game, especially from Dwight. James will get his, but I think our bigs in Dwight and Josh will play strong. They'll have to be smart against LaMarcus. Trev isn't going to stop KL completely, but we need to limit him to no more than 20. If DMo gets some burn, I hope it's because we're winning by a fair margin, or he gets some quality reps in against the Spurs' 2nd/3rd stringers. No reason to risk his health. Surprise predictions: Ty Lawson will have a good game, with at least 10 points. Smoov and CB will hit a couple of 3s each.
DMo has been 100% for a last like month, no worries here. He was doing everything for the snakes int the valley, let's stop messing with the guys head. just let him play.
