I just wanted to say how Cuttino played great defense against Cleveland and how the future all-star did the little things that won't necessarily show in the box score. If you watched the game, you know what I'm talking about. Great all-around game!

    Thank You!!
Finally someone else sees that Cat has been playing great defense. He is always up in the defenders face altering the shot. His overall game has really improved. I think this month he is averaging 23pts, 6rebs, 3asts, and 2stls, and shooting better from the field, 48%. I just wish Rudy put him in the starting lineup at the beginning of the year.

    What game were you watching?

I saw Cuttino taking to many one on one plays. Very dumb shots that he could of passed off. Who did he guard? Trajan langdon?

Anyone that holds him has good defense because langdon avgs 6.2 points. [IMG]

I am not talking about just last night, I am talking about the last month or so. He has played much better and under control.

Mobley is definitely trying to step up his defense. Francis to, but they are having some problems on a consistent basis. Miller just abused Francis at some points, but Francis flat out embarrassed Miller so it didn't show nearly as badly. The backcourt has to step up the defense to help us advance. Shandon can help Mobes on defense, but if Francis continues to get abused on D it's going to hurt badly!

I didnt see Francis getting abused on defense. The past few games he has been playing GREAT defense, so as Cat. In yesterdays game, Miller didnt score all his points on Francis. There was alot of switching going on and Andre also got his points off Cuttino and Moochie, so I wouldnt call that abuse. Also, with Miller being the only steady offensive option, you had to expect him to put up a high point total.

I believe Cuttino is playing quality D. Defense is more than your man-to-man defense. Cuttino looks like he plays rotation defense exactly the way the coaches planned it. He has all the intangibles.

Yea, thats another thing I noticed. Cuttino used to be just a good one on one defender, but his team defense was lacking, and he was getting scorched alot on backpicks against teams like Miami and New York. Now, his team defense is solid.
