No but Rio was the first tape I ever owned. They said it would be $.02 through the tape of the month club and eventually it cost my mom much more than $.02. Damn liars.

I did an acoustic, solo version of "Rio" in a bar in 2005 as a half-joke and I'm certain 90 percent of the audience (who were all my age, I was 24 at the time) thought I wrote it.

    For shame.

Thinking of going... Tickets are a bit higher than other concerts still (not as bad as 2014 austin concert though...), but they do have a lot of hits. I haven't seen them in concert yet.

I did catch Tears for Fears around same time of Duran concert in 2014, but they also weren't charging $250-500... this time it's looking like $80-100+ for decent seats.

that 2014 was F1, so they were charging the rich europeans who came to town.

still cheaper than the $700 sting tickets.

Growing up...we used to give my friend's sister such a hard time over her love of Duran Duran as she was SO into them and her walls were covered with their posters. We totally hated everything about them at the time. It was just an ongoing feud between the rockers and the new wavers (or whatever). It wasn't a big deal but it did get to the point where she revenged on us and stole something from us. lol

But, I've grown to appreciate their contribution to music as I grew up. And, obviously, they have several classic hits. I think I lightened up on them when someone got me into New Order back in the day. I mean...the goofball singer from New Order back in the day wore a pink ballerina dress when they played in concert. That's about as non-rocker as you get. And, I saw that performance live at Astroworld on the "Technique" tour I think. I still don't understand why he was wearing that. Does not compute!!!

Their most recent two albums are simply awesome. All You Need Is Now has been in my constant rotation for the last 4 years.
