    That's really disrespectful to harden.

Thornton is so bad on defense. Atleast James plays that side every now and then and comes up with some steaks and blks.

Thronton loses his man more than James when you factor in he's not even getting half his minutes.

Thornton has ahead a few good games can't take that away but he doesn't pass the ball at all and you can tell after 2-3 min if he's going to be on or not.

There is no medium with this guy.

Truth hurts, but it is what it is. I have been hoping for KJ to blow it up in D League but he's always second fiddle to Putney, Cummings and finally D-Mo.

KJ needs to understand his limitations and focus on being the best D stopper he can be.

Is it verified Thornton is coming back? He didn't fail the physical and Rockets could allow Detroit to take his salary.

    LOLOLOL....

Have you ever seen Thornton is on Shaqin Fool ?

I've seen James Harden on it a couple of times....

Pathetic defense is well known in the world... Harden defense is a joke now.

Nobody in this team is worse than Harden and Lawson on defense.

A lot of NBA teams want Marcus Thornton.

But for KJ, I don't think many teams want but some Rockets fans like you.

Guess people haven't been paying attention to KJ in the D League. He has done quite well there...

I'd rather roll with KJ and use the rest of this season to determine his future with the Rockets.

If they're not buying out Lawson, go all in on him too.

Thornton will just have to be a good team mate and collect those DNPs without grumbling.

You have got to be the most bipolar poster on this board. I dont particularly rate KJ. He has a lot of limitations. But its pretty clear that Thornton isn't one of the "boys" and he's clashed with JB. We also have a dumpster fire on the bench named Corey Brewer. Seeing as we paid KJ, Id much rather we give him an extended run off the bench and see if he has any game at all, than see Brewer dribble the ball off his foot again.

    Good day sir.

Apparently when you bring up Thornton's name, people's minds go blank and fans no longer see that:
    - Ariza has been way worse on defense this year and not steady at all on offense
    - Brewer has been utter ****, except for a handful of games where his gambling actually paid off. He's paid 8 million to run out on a fast break, nothing more. Guy can't dribble, pass, create or anything.
    - Ty is by far the worst player on our team and does not even try on defense
    - Terry is old and cannot stay in front of anyone
    - KJ has had some nice blocks here and there, but what else has he done?

Now all this being said, people who actually watch games know that Ariza puts in the effort so he's forgiven. Terry is old, but the other 2 are just utter crap. KJ inconclusive. So how people can honestly say that Thornton is worse on defense or the worst defender, does not give effort and is a cancer even. At least he puts up points and can create, can't say that for any other wing / guard except Harden and Ariza. The latter has been much better lately and can at least put a string of 3 games together with 15+ points. Also, people say he just looks to shoot are just lying to themselves. He gets involved plenty in the pick and roll if players are willing, he passes to our big men and guess what: he can flat out shoot!

Is Thornton back in Houston, or have the Pistons retained him?

Back in Houston, waiting on Morey to tell him when he can join the team. 90% chance he's waived, bought out or whatever. So dumb, going for the play-offs without a good shooter.

i was actually glad kj would finally get minutes since this team needs defense and has plenty offense. instead of rotting him on the bench like a *************************, send him to the dleague for the rest of the season.

I suspect MT shares your wish. He was getting very inconsistent burn here before the trade... I suspect he was screaming... [queue up the Steve Carrell screaming "No" meme]...

They could have used his offense off the bench tonight. The high point off the bench is Terry with 5 points
