OKC voided a trade where they got Tyson Chandler. Chandler then signed with Dallas over the summer and they won a ring.
I wouldn't think so... Probably good chance his back is shot or... He still has a long road to recovery.
OMGZZZ, I know! We should have traded Brewer instead of Jones! Duh! Anyways, I just realized, if my team had just traded a lotto pick for DMO & Thornton I'd be pisssssssed. Now I'm extra down about this news.
could easily happen. I guess the drawback is the bridge with Houston / DM would be burned and front offices do value these relationships somewhat. At the end of the day, I could still see it happening tho.
I also wonder if we need to consider firing all of our trainers and doctors and revamping the medical staff. We've had so many injuries and long recoveries in the last few years, some really that go unexplained as to why they take so long.
There are plenty of reasons to criticize Keith, but I'm not sure this is one of them. DMo was cleared to play now. It sounds like he CAN play now. If the Rockets knew he was OK to play in the immediate term but would likely have long-term issues/flare-ups, I sort of doubt they would affirmatively convey that to the fans. You say he's available to play now because he is. No reason to disclose anything further to the general public, especially if you KNOW there's a long-term issue and plan(ned) to move him for that reason. It was on Detroit to explore the long-term on their own, and they did.
I mean not impossible ^ just... I think that could have repercussions for future trades with teams, Like backing out on false accusations would be lame...
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="el"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">The D-Mo situation is a good argument for the deadline being Tuesday not Thursday after ASB.</p>— Seth Partnow (@SethPartnow) <a href="https://twitter.com/SethPartnow/status/701856263374708737">Φεβρουάριος 22, 2016</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> This way the team won't have any more losses in the meanwhile affecting any pick considerations.
Now, Morey should not be fired because our star player has rejoined our team. We will have a chance to win it all this year or next year or two.
The NBA has got to fix this. That's too long of a time for a trade to get voided. It looks bad for everyone involved.
True, I was being more facetious than anything. I mean on top of that back issues can be hard to diagnose/treat depending on the situation.
If I'm Morey I would be conferring with the Rockets own back specialist (which he's probably done weeks back) and asking for a precise reason why the Detroit back specialist turned the deal down.
Oh sure I don't know that. But the CBA doesnt' care. It gives the option of having trades for months. If it falls through like that due to physical and the team is screwed for all the CBA cares, too bad.
On the bright side, Morey has an incredible record when he fails: 1. Rescinded Gasol trade. We would have never got Harden. 2. Missed out overpaying Nene because trade didn't go through. 3. Missed out on overpaying Melo, who was then lost for season ending surgery. 4. Missed out on Bosh, blood clots back to back years. 5. Lost Parsons before microfacture, got Ariza as alternate.
Shoot! Terrible for the Rockets. It's obvious that we weren't going to win a championship this season. So we will now either a) lose D-Mo for nothing, or b) give too much money to an injury-prone player.
