I only had 3 Wisdom teeth. The dentist told me they are evolving out of homo sapiens. So, that means I'm more evolved than the rest of you monkeys. btw: if anyone knows of a woman with 3 wisdom teeth, let me know, as we might be able to produce a 2 Wisdom teeth tribe.

I kept mine for 5+ years. They fitted perfectly & looked like my other molars. My parents then convinced me (although they had never had theirs removed) that one day they could cause problems when I'm older & it's better to get them out now. I got them out & then TOTALLY REGRETTED IT! I was so used to using my molars (incl wisdom teeth) to chew that when that area was all healed back there, I would try to use it to chew crackers & chips & that hurts on gum God gave you your 32 teeth. If they aren't causing you problems, let them be.
If your jaws are big enough to accommodate 32 fully erupted teeth then no reason to have your wizzies extracted. Otherwise, you compromise the health of the second molar. Lots of pathology associated with unerupted wisdom teeth as well.
