Play Roxannes - "It must have been love " song over some D-Mo highlights and tell me you didn't shed a tear.

Funny how we never heard DMo's name come up in any trade talk until the trade actually happened. Nothing from any of the "insiders" or anything.

Haven't seen such emotion over a marginal player since Lin.

He really was not very good.

Dmo had a high ceiling but with the injury to his back he wasn't going to be anything special. Look what the back injuries have done to elite players. We def made out like bandits

I really hope, in reality, this wasn't just a trade just for the sake of making a trade. Plus, D-Mo > T-Jones, they got rid of the wrong PF.

D-Mo's ceiling is a lot higher than Lin's.

Even if he weren't concussed, no one was taking Jones off our hands. We're stuck with that garbage for the rest of the season. They did what they could to save Les a bit of money at the expense of the quality of team they put on the court. They showed what their priorities are.

Loved DMo last year. Loved him.

But because of his back injury, I haven't even thought of him as a Rocket for a while.

I was very skeptical that he'd ever come back the same, even though his fanboys* assured me that he would be ready to start this year... and then that he would be ready shortly after... and then that he was faking this latest injury because whothef***knows.

I loved his time here and wish him well, but I moved on from him as a Rocket in the beginning of the year, so this trade didn't hurt me.

*I don't include DonatasFanboy in this group

Who was offering a mid first round pick for Jones?

It has been 4 years... He is already 25 coming off a back surgery.

Who was offering a 2nd round pick for Jones? Even that would have been outright robbery if we could have gotten that.

Yes, and his floor is still higher than Lin's ceiling ever was.

We should have traded James Harden. I will reference this post when Harden eventually leaves OR we do trade him.

HOU Rockets, when DAL has put together a better team than you, you know there will be years of pain. Unacceptable!

Seriously though, who would have thought that Parsons would be on the better team just a few years after he left Houston?

It takes time to come back from a back injury. DMo was starting to play with the Vipers.

When healthy, he showed he was a fine post player, something we need desperately. He offered more than Jones could ever be.

    Morey traded the wrong player.

Maybe, but Linsanity is a run of real games that surpass any ceiling DMo has displayed, to date. 4 yrs and we're still talking largely unrealized, X Factor potential.
