Well you have been here long enough to know the owner will never allow tanking, so you should have know that was never an option.

The only deal we know of was Al Jeff and Hawes for Dwight, which makes us worse this year and worse down the road by tying up cap on Hawes.

So again, not sure what you were expecting. Did you want to send a future pick for Morris? Did you want to send a pick for Frye?

How do we know he wasn't actively shopping all those guys?

You can't make other teams accept your trade offers and you can't just give guys away for nothing either.

Even if we do make it in as the 7th or 8th seed, it reflects poorly on him. This season has badly tarnished his image. I frankly think he and JB need to go this offseason and the organization needs a fresh start. The real problem will be whether the new GM can convince Les that rebuilding through the draft is the best route. We have an owner that has refused to do that for over 2 decades since buying the team.

If McHale was fired after only 11 games, I thinks it's time for Morey to get what's coming to him as well.

Trade away your only post player, your hardest working player and your only sharp shooter off the bench for peanuts

Agreed.......this move made no sense other than a CHEAP assed owner who only cares about money and not winning.

Morey's had 8 years. I'm not saying he hasn't had some success, but I'm tired of the analytics approach. I know it's a different sport, but I'm down with the Astros plan. Suck for 3-4 years, get a sh-tload of young talent in the draft(and someone other than Morey who knows how to select players), and then build on that.

It worked for the Thunder. It worked for the Warriors. It previously worked for the Celtics(they used all those assets to get KG and Allen). And unless they royally F it up, it's probably gonna work for the T'Wolves in another couple years.

Orlando got Dwight and made it to the finals. Philly, Sacramento, Milwaukee, and Minny have been jokes for a while. There are certain joke franchises in the NBA...as hard as it is to believe. Kind of like Cleveland drafting Bennet and ****ing up over and over again. Your point has no grounds.

I don't like losing Dmo. But I also don't like the idea of losing him for nothing if his price gets too high nor do I like the fact that he's had serious back issues. Issues that could prevent him from ever being the guy that was our "3rd best player" ever again.

Time will tell. Could be a terrible deal, could work out amazingly for us.

You don't trade a PROVEN for a maybe, that is what bad businesses do.

Philly is doing exactly what you are suggesting. There is still time for you to jump on their band wagon before they make their leap to the top.

LOL and now we give out a 2nd to get rid of Joel Anthony.

So its DMo, Thronton, and a valuable 2nd rounder for a middling 1st rounder.

    Unreal

Good chance 1st rounder is another bust if Morey picks going by his track record of drafting likes of WHite and Dekker and Mook over Kawhi

What he's PROVEN is that he can be a great piece when healthy. But when healthy hasn't been very often recently and with his type of injury could lead to chronic problems that keep him in and out for the rest of his career.

Like I said I really liked Dmo and agree, if healthy, would be the 3rd best player on our roster. If all his injury problems are behind and he remains relatively healthy for the next few years than this wasn't a very good move, but I understand why it was made.
