Live, the only way to go! After we get it started up, we'll talk about a good time for everyone. I'm thinkin an afternoon on a Sunday is probably best.
If any of you who are already in this league want to join another league that's about to draft soon this week, email BAJuggernauts@yahoo.com for the details. It's always good to be in many leagues. We have 14 owners and need 2 more for a 4 division league. l3uddhab0y if you wanna join just send me an email.
My AIM ID is MallunWo34. Is it this Sunday afternoon? Or the draft going to be sometime during the preseason? Or a week before the preseason? This weekend, I'm going out of town and I won't be back until Sunday...most likely late evening. Sorry.
It will be on a Sunday, sometime around preseason I presume. Like I said, we'll decide on it at the message board for the league (if Yahoo ever starts up FBB 2004). Sorry TexRupin and l3uddhab0y, but right now we got 12 teams....Unless one of the managers decides not be in it... they are suppossed to be fba34, Franchise3, xiki, Suprafrumpy, Peleincubus, Kam, VooDooPope, Mr. Mooch, RedFusion, nWo34Life, mrgoubople, and me, Rockets-#1.
aw c'mon, let them in anyway. its more fun scouring the FA list and jumping on the hot streak guy. i vote for them to be in the league.
It wont be any fun when there's no one to pick up! Once you go over 12 teams there's only gonna be crap on waivers. Yeah there are exceptions sometimes, but for the most part, if you go over 12, the quality and quantity of guys on waivers wont be much.
how about if we cut one bench position down and draft one player less? pg, sg, g, sf, pf, f, c, c, bench
I really think 12 teams with PG,SG,G,SF,PF,F,C,C,UTL,UTL,UTL with no bench positions is best. Maybe you could cut a guy or two from that.
If we have 16 teams we can have 4 divisions. The talent wont be stretched that much. I'm in a league right now where there are 18 teams and my three "bench scrubs" are: Darius Miles, Gordon Giricek, and Morris Peterson. Still good players if you ask me.
The website we're using supports divisions. The winner of each division goes on to the "playoffs", which occurs at the end of the regular NBA season. It's true head-to-head competition. You can have a league up to 32 teams. Every player in the league is available. It randomly assigns draft positions. Inactive teams can be turned into "bots". Bots can be used to draft for disinterested teams that have abandoned the draft. It uses a minutes based system, 48 at center, 96 at forward, and 96 at guard. You're not restricted to the standard "1 center, 2 forwards, 2 guards". You can fill up your minutes however you choose. Multi-position players can split their minutes between 2 positions. There are a few other features too. That's why I prefer it over Yahoo.
But the thing in 16 team+ leagues is that you'll have some teams that are forced to use players like Tony Delk, Vladamir Stepania, Tyronn Lue, etc. But nobody wants Moochie in my league.
You can do your own league if you want, but I thought we already agreed this league was Yahoo and about 12 teams, uhh yep we did.
crap that bench was supposed to be util. bench is needed cos of injuries. so my suggestion is pg, sg, g, sf, pf, f, c, c, util for starters. bench is either a 2 or 3 spot.
Yahoo finally made fantasy NBA available, the league ID is 2995, password is rockets - I think everyone should use their username from the BBS so we know who's who and we can talk about it on here. I want everyone else to know how much I'm killin' you guys. Once again, the members are: Rockets #1 Mr. Mooch fba34 Franchise3 Xiki Supafrumpy Peleincubus Kam VooDooPope Mr. Mooch RedFusion nWo34Life
