The 2 is where Rockets should play him. Ariza should always be the primary defender on the superstar PGs. Rockets need another 3 & D wing in starting 5. If Rockets-Heat trade goes down, acquiring Deng should be a must. Dragic is okay, but Deng will improve the rotation, switch defense and 3 point shooting. If Rockets want to play big: Harden Ariza Deng Smoove Whiteside If Rockets want to go small ball: Bev Harden Ariza Deng Smoove/D-Mo
No one wants to see him go...but the team is currently unwatchable. Theyve gone away from the post for so long now that Dwight is not a part of the offense on some nights. Its time to switch up the strategy and take a gamble here. Youre not beating the Spurs or Warriors wiht this roster.
Houston out: dwight/t.jones/thornton/harrel Houston in: vucevic/gibson/payton/fournier/1st Houston outlook: quick retool while getting younger. Gain a couple assets as well as a decent post replacement. Orlando out: vucevic/payton/fournier/smith/1st/2nd Orlando in: dwight/t.jones/thornton Orlando outlook: get the superstar for win now mode and bring Dwight back home but honestly it would be a decent cast around him with spacing and shooting. Chicago out: gibson Chicago in: smith/harrel/2nd Chicago outlook: shed some luxury dollars while gaining flexibility with an expiring while gaining an extra pick. Would have to cut a scrub. Thoughts?
Why would Howard want to go back to Orlando? Why would Majic give up all of that for a rental? Can we please at least make these trades reasonable?
take out Fournier and it's a little more palatable for the Magic. Skiles doesn't seem to be the biggest fan of Payton and they just got Jennings to hold down the PG position.
Fournier was irrelevant in the trade TBH. I just threw him in for contract filler and expiring. It's really not lopsided Vucevic is the"good"replacement player, Payton isn't some blue chip prospect but is "young talent" fournier is a "expiring role player". Gibson is the "veteran" and a late 1st "asset" is not some amazing haul. Also Fwiw cyber Ha said Dwight was even willing to go back to Orlando and magic had interest but morey didn't want Harris contract
So the Cavs are apparently one of the teams pursing Channing Frye, but why would they do that UNLESS they wanted to or were considering trading Love. Perhaps: Cavs In: Dwight, Frye Orlando In: Assets from Houston Houston In: Love
So Kevin Love struggles to play alongside LeBron... So we should trade for him and pair him with harden? Ok. Any big money guys we acquire need to be able to handle the ball in PnR since our offense is predicated on attacking the rim to create catch and shoot situations. Also, for as much as y'all complain about Harden's lack of defense, which is an effort issue, how can you justify trading for Kevin love whose lack of defense is simply a talent issue?
Ariza, Brewer, and Tjones For Kevin Love Capela to Boston for a 1st rounder Dwight/Bev/Boston 1st to Miami for Winslow/Whiteside/Dragic/Mcroberts Whiteside/DMo Love/Smith Winslow/Dekker Harden/KJ Dragic/Lawson
Do Terry a solid and trade him to the Mavs. Acquire Hezonja now he's become the the third PG option in the Magic's rotation.
Henzonja ain't going anywhere. He's 6'8'' 220. If they're comfortable with him playing point guard, that shows the skills he possess. Dude has tremendous potential. With Tobias Harris gone, that opens up a lot more minutes for him.
the Magic were not playing Herzonja as the back up point guard, he is 6"8 and plays forward and shooting guard. they have Payton or Oladipo on the court at all times playing point
