You guys are underestimating Morey. If he could get a decent haul for a broken down, washed up Tracy McGrady, he'll be able to get a nice package for a franchise desperately looking to:

    1) Be relevant
    2) Contend for a playoff spot
    3) Gain a massive amount of capspace in the offseason (assuming he opts out)

THIS. He could get away with his Defensive weaknesses in his prime days because he was so athletic, but as he has gotten older, he can't make up for them anymore. I did't think anyone would notice he never really gotten better with his technique.

This stat could be skewed by not having a shot-blocking 4 on this team.

good gosh... You know he's SUPPOSED to go for those blocks and the rotator then comes over to box out his man. That's how a good defense works... Dwight is actually contesting the shot and doing exactly what he should..

Partly yes. He tries to block shots he should realize he cannot get to. Not every shot needs to be contested.

It is a big problem. Harden plays a crazy amount of minutes and is asked to do too much. Once we get a real coach having a guy that can hold the offense when Harden sits will be very valuable. This is an offensive league. Defense will come with the proper coaching but Harden needs his minutes and role reduced a bit.

As much as I would like this, don't you think Cleveland is giving up to much for Dwight?

if value was thrown out of the window why they didn't trade for Joe Johnson? Oh yes that would be because their lux tax would be INSANE.

If Love went in the market he could bring back much better pieces than just Dwight and there would be multiple teams fighting over him. That's why he has more trade value.
Like as I said Olynyk, Crowder Zeller. (plus picks to be traded for further pieces).

Now if you add Ariza to Dwight and take back the awful Varejao contract something could start. But very doubtful it happens.

You can intimidate without blocking the shot. Stop acting like it's black and white, of course other players are responsible. The wing / guard and the lack of rotation help.

It's no so much an offensive league if you're trying to achieve the goal of a title. You can mask this in the regular season but championships are always won with defense. that's never going to change.

might want to take your own advice on that one. But apparently its pretty easy to make the choice between going for a block and not.
