Morey's biggest mistake. No only does he let Adelman go but he hires Kevin ****in Mchale and JB.

Fair enough but it's hard to ask him to guard multiple guys at once and cover up every breakdown on the perimeter

Yeah pay attention to him because all the wing players are blowing by our wings with ease. It's such a shame he can't cover all these guys at the same time anymore

    Correct.

Its the role players fault they play no defense, have turnover issues, and have seen significant declines in their advanced metrics.

This is why they need to be gone.

So only Harden gets a pass on those.

Completely the opposite of how the NBA works. This is a stars league

Amazing, you seem completely unable to not put all the blame on Harden.

    Congrats, you are delusional.

You already now I want this team blown up but not because of Harden and Howard. Our role players and coaches suck they offer no help so teams can just key in on them and say forget everyone else. Dream was Dream because Kenny Smith would destroy you if you left him open. Our role players need to make open shots and play solid defense that's all they need to do and we would win most games THEY DON'T DO THAT. So instead of saying Harden and Howard has to do everything you need to realize that there is a balance and you can't play 5 on 2 every damn night because you have this idea that hero ball rules the game, it doesn't. Yes you need superstars that do most of the work but they are all human and can be taken out of the game with good coaching and they are also liable to have bad games or shooting slumps so you need your role players to make open shots and play good D.

You agree Harden is fat and doesn't play defense yet you don't want to blame him. You won't engage on his offensive metrics and instead focus on volume stats

    But I'm delusional.

And to be clear, I still believe he was a top 3 player last year, as good as Curry and LeBron.

Harden isn't a leader who is able to elevate his teammates' games.

No one on the team is. Same goes with the coaching staff--no leadership. Sorry, McHale--you were only good for motivation but could not get us beyond playing glorified streetball. It doesn't work anymore.

Hakeem got Kenny wide open looks. Harden isn't doing that anymore (passing it to them while they're guarded does not count)

Hakeem also covered up other people's defensive mistakes. Obviously Harden doesn't do that either.

Also, Hakeem could never be taken out of the game by coaching. That's the definition of a superstar

    Yes, you are delusional.

I made a comment about how we need some more rotational players who can bring more to the team and five, count them, five times now, you have tried to deflect that criticism off the role players and onto Harden.

You simply have no idea what you are talking about or have become so biased, you can't see straight. Either way, delusional.

The only way the Rockets get better is if they get all new role players or they keep the role players and get another superstar no matter which one of those routes they take they need a new coach and totally new coaching staff who have an actual system to bring it all together.

Kelvin Sampson should be the head coach in reality

Outside of PF, our role players aren't the issue. They are just struggling because they are playing 4 on 5 defense and then trying to create for themselves which they were never supposed to be asked to do

Portland is a really smart team, and you can tell they have a great coach. They do this consistently against us. They let Dwight get his buckets because they know it makes the Rockets less efficient offensively. Feeding Dwight means you can only get 2 points maximum and he's turnover prone (himself and in the process of getting him the ball).

Not surprisingly, Dwight had the worst +/- on the team (-24) despite putting up big box score stats.

Dallas does the same thing. What do ya know? They also have a really damn good head coach.
