In light of Clutch's and Tim's rescent smackdown's that left some simply dumbfounded.............I had to ask this.

What was some of the greatest ass whipping's on this board..........classic debates where someone was LITERALLY torn to shreds? Left so dumbstruck, they didnt post here for days or sometimes.........ever again.

    Let the bidding begin............
    :)

I've been a little busy recently. What exactly is this in reference to? Does someone have a link? Or at least a transcript?

    ;)

Wow... thanks. Recently I've just been glancing at the GARM and the Hangout, and that's it.

Things should settle down a little more by next week.

I must be missing something in the Tim thread. I don't see anything resembling a smackdown anywhere in that thread.

Me either. I guess it was the  he put in the first post. Kind of uncharacteristic for him.

Clutch's smackdown was flat out brutal. No way it was overrated. Remind me never to piss him off.

Although I'm certainly not in the "anti-T_J" club like so many others, I must admit that Jeff smacked him down pretty good a few weeks back about reporting posts to the moderators. I'm too lazy to search for it but it was in that "Achebe banned" thread. That was a distant second to Clutch's, but pretty brutal (in a Jeff kind of way) nonetheless.

What a joke. I treat Jeff with kid gloves since he's an admin. On a level playing field, he would have been EXPOSED royally.

    Sheesh Louise.

This guy's posting is akin to the behavior of those disturbed individuals who like to cut or burn themselves.

I don't think the 'smackdowns' are too fair to people like Omega. If he said anything back he would've been banned. I guess if we want to layeth the smackethdown we have to get our own site.

Exactly why isn't it fair? He's the one who set himself up. What was he going to say? "no, you're wrong." Or a curse-fest which would only make himself look worse?

Off the top of my head some of the biggest "smackdowns" -

    Clutch and roy d. elton.

tigereye et al and slin slin.

That vancouver fan, Stro show, getting smacked down by everyone, but esp Clutch.

RM95 and DaDa, getting very personal.

I say we level the playing field, and let the 'exposer' work on Jeff.

    What a joke.

Jeff smiting T_J with a clue stick:

    http://bbs.clutchcity.net/php3/showthread.php?s=&threadid=63752

My personal favorite was when The Cat was saying that (IIRC) he didn't blame some specific losses by his supported team(s) on bad officiating. Clutch pulled up at least 4 posts confirming otherwise, and then pondered for a while:

Clutch concurrently changed The Cat's user title to "Member on Crack," yada yada yada, and now The Cat only posts in the Fantasy Forum (at least originally by choice).

    [edit: My 1,000,000th post! Woo-hoo!]

    I still miss dignitybears' rants.

    Example:

Dignitybear-well, well, how are you and your pathetic Rocket's doing?

20-30 posts all saying "shut up" or "go to hell".

Dignitybear-my my, such harsh words. It isn't my fault that your team is not as good as Utah.

    40-50 posts all trash-talking.

This would go on for about three days, and then he'd disappear for a while.

I don't know why, but I always found it amusing in a "Seinfeld-Newman" kind of way.

Anyway, that's the best I've seen.

Bingo. This was by far the best. roydelton kept talking smack about Francis his rookie season. Clutch took every single one of his points and blew them away utterly. Completely. What was impressive is that this guy didn't scare away from anybody, brushed off all attacks. When Clutch laid the smackdown, it was immaculate, verbose, and complete. roydelton didn't even respond. He deleted the entire thread. Clutch removed poster's ability to delete threads and posts soon after.
