Kevin is not one to hold back or hide how he feels but wonder if he told Harden he was fat errr overweight.

More like, you called me fat? I gettin you fired.

 

Harden was overweight... Also any elite/proven coach would have not only told the player that, he'd have likely gone public to the media to somewhat embarrass/light a fire under the player. (Carlisle and poppovich have done it).

 

I wish he was still the coach. At least through this season. Our season was done when we canned him.

The guy conducted himself with a lot more class than most would have in that situation....and especially the idiots on this forum who routinely called him "milkhair" and all other disrespectful names.

I have nothing but contempt for those people. WCF and they did nothing but complain about McHale. They were asking that he be fired even while we were wining the Division.

He was exactly right about training camp. He deserved the time to get things back on track....not a knee jerk reaction.

"I told them at the end of training camp we were a month to 6 weeks away from gelling and playing well. So we got off to a tough start. I came in, they said, you're fired. I was like wow. I will always be a Rockets fan....but the way this was handled and the way this forum disrespected McHale...that will never be forgotten.

Context is everything dummies. Pretty clear McHale was saying Harden came in overweight because of his sprained ankle.

If you call that blasting by Charles just wait until Inside the NBA when they have to recap the Warriors drubbing of the Houston Rockets.

 

A couple players admitted the team needed more structure and consequences under McHale and said they got it under JB.

That tells me that Kevin didn't do enough to get the losing under control. Not jelling yet and getting embarrassed are two completely different things. You cant just watch your team get clowned, showing lack of effort, and let it go because you already predicted they'd need X amount of time. He should have tightened things up..there was obviously room for it. That could have saved his job..but he lefts stones unturned..

 

So my suspicions about Harden were confirmed, he got injured and came into the season carrying it. Which explains why he has looked so slow and lacking explosiveness, even now.

 

No excuse. Adjust your eating..hes been a pro long enough to know that. I also didn't even think it was severe enough to keep him out very long. He shouldnt have been overweight and shouldn't be an issue right now.
