I've always (well, for the last few years) wanted to have a cat named "Wink" and a dog named "Cat."

But then again, I was trying to get my friend to name her dog "Phallus" a few months ago too...

I name my house dogs after the carecters?, brainfart, off of Lonesome Dove. My dog Gus should have been named Woodrow Call.

I name all my other dogs with simple human names. My black lab is named Louie or Lou and my border collie is named Jack.

If it farts a lot, you can call it Windy or Breezy. Otherwise how about Nigel?

    Name him "adog"

Then when you introduce your dog to your friends, you go like: "Steve, this is adog".

Or you could name him "dont"

So when you tell him: "don't bite the shoes!", "don't pee in the house", "don't do this", "don't do that", he'll get the idea and do whatever you say.

Some names of the dogs my family have had: Smok(e)y (never really spelled his name), Ziggy, and Bear.
A friend of mind had a dog named Raiden and another named Ren, since he was a chiuaiaaiuaiiaua.

Some other names I've heard in books/movies/stuff : Hank, like in Hank the Cowdog, Drover, Chance, Shadow, Simba...oh, wait that was lion cub. Nevermind that last one.

    My black lab's named Molly.
I think it would be kind of strange to name ur dog after a (human)girl but since I live in France the name isn't very popular(it's an english name).

I would think it would be the same for U Arno_Ed.Some names suggested sounded cool for a dog but might also have a different meaning in deutch.Another thing is that some word, though very easy to say in english, are just impossible to pronounce in other languages!
Another thing is isn't there a reglementation or which the name of your dog born a certain year has to be the same as the first letter of it's name?
Anyways,U might already be aware of that so here is my suggestion:
Aware:favorite word of everybody's role model: Jean Claude Van Dam!
...And...the only word I ever understood him saying! :D

    ALA
    5thank God he's not French!)
