That's true of him and Brady and most other QBs. Brady won SB's thanks to the defense too - in his first one, he threw for 145 yards. In this first 3 SB seasons (9 games), he had 3 games where he threw less than 150 yards and only 2 that he threw more than 240 yards. He was efficient, but he never was asked to carry his team in those early championships.

Over their careers, their playoff stats are fairly similar. Both have a QB Rating of 88. Brady wins on the counting stats. Peyton wins on the per-attempt and per-game stats.

This was another Payton Manning playoff choke job. Luckily for him, the QB on the opposing team had more back breaking turnovers.

Brady gave his team the lead last year, late in the fourth. The Pat's defense almost choked that game away.

I will forget about all the bs arguments for and against Manning. When I look at stats, he's the qb with the most wins and best overall stats, and he got 2 SB wins. That's enough for GOAT for me.

    Brady's first 3 SuperBowls

    750 yards
    6 TDs
    1 INT
    with mostly average offensive weapons

Not All-World, but not mere game managing

This win helps solidify Peyton's GOAT argument, but in a "pick one QB to win a playoff game scenario", Manning likely struggles to be Top 5.

The only QB to win a SB with two different franchises is also going on the resume.

He was a shell of his former self... But like many have said, if you're going to blame him for all his previous teams shortcomings (when he was in his prime), he can't be completely cut out of the credit when he's obviously on his last legs.
