Enough of this crap.....time to make some painful changes to help us have a chance next year and the years to follow.
JB and Howard I understand. But Morey has been one of the best GM's in the league. I mean he went from an injured Yao and Tracy to Harden and Howard without entering the lottery. I get it, the team is not doing well but its more of a coaching and player issue more than a GM getting talent issue.
Atleast it's not another bash Harden thread. I like D Howard he just doesn't fit in with what Morey wants to do. Morey needs an offensive center. I still support Morey but if he keeps the same coaching staff this summer I will direct my anger toward him. Enough is enough.
I agree I agree with Dwight,JB should leave but not Morey. Hes part of the reason that we even have some of the things we do have
Keep Morey. He's made some mistakes, one's he can learn from. He's stil extremely smart; the thing is his "philosophy" did not work. It doesn't mean he's dumb, or he needs to be fired. He executed it perfectly, it just wasn't the right thing. I'm totally for keeping Morey, provided he learns from this experience. You have to value coaching, chemistry, and things that analytics do not show such as character, work ethic, basketball IQ.
Morey built a fine team. They proved it last season. We know they can play. So this isn't on Morey. He can't make the players give effort. We already know thy can win as they proved last season. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink.
Well..it kind of is on Morey. He's the one says coaching doesn't matter when you have talent. But, it does matter and it is our weakest link. So in a way, Morey choosing McHale all those years ago was the move that doomed us in the present.
