Especially since we looked like a bunch of headless chickens out there without Josh Smith :grin:

 

Any one else think Josh Smith hopes we get 6th seed and match against the Clippers? That will be some good ole fashion revenge game.

 

Somehow I got a feeling that Morey brought Smith back is more than just we needed a starting 4 or backup 4/5.

Smith could be the person where we may be able to resign Howard this off season not at a max contract. Smith may also be the piece that could make Rox Jell again on the court.

 

I'm sorry but the Smith/Howard relationship is incredibly overblown. At the end of the day Josh is going to do what's best for Josh and Dwight is going to do what's best for Dwight.

The Rockets got Josh back because they got him essentially for free, and last year he played great as a secondary playmaker off the bench. This year it looks like he's still effective in that role at times. He's also a better rebounder & defender than Jones/D-Mo/Harrell.

Smith to the Rockets effects Harden more than it does Dwight honestly. It gives the Rockets a 2nd playmaker that can actually play with Harden rather than being a bystander like Lawson. I could totally see Dwight not being a Rocket next year and Smith being a Rocket or vice versa.
