So basically you just admitted the Lakers don't care about winning this season and it's all about Kobe's farewell tour.
No I'm saying what you're obviously implying that Lakers didn't want him this season in order to win more games is just a load of bullsh**t lmao! You smell like cow dung tinman!
NBA: Kings halt promotion after insensitivity complaint Photo: Reuters Los Angeles - The Sacramento Kings cancelled plans for a "Year of the Monkey" T-shirt giveaway to celebrate the Lunar New Year after centre DeMarcus Cousins voiced concerns of insensitivity, US media reported. The Kings had planned to give away the shirts, bearing the image of a purple monkey, before Monday's home game against the Milwaukee Bucks. But they pulled the promotion after Cousins said it could be construed as offensive on the first day of Black History Month - when NBA players wear commemorative shirts. "We all need a lesson in sensitivity," Kings president Chris Granger said, according to The Sacramento Bee. "In an effort to celebrate Chinese New Year, we had some concerns about the T-shirt giveaway, so we pulled them all before the doors opened. Certainly we don't want to offend anybody, and we acted as soon as we heard the concern." The Kings went ahead with other Lunar New Year celebrations - including team introductions in Mandarin and a ribbon dance by the Kings Dancers.
Yes because the Lakers are in rebuilding mode. It started last year tanking to keep their top 3 protected draft pick, which they fudged up by drafting Russell instead of Porzingis. This year they're using Kobe's farewell tour as an excuse to lose as many games as possible. They're going for Ben Simmons.
Do you know any Laker fans? Apparently they don't miss him. He's like another bad Adam Sandler movie in Hollywood.
Of course not. Because they're dreaming about Ben Simmons and looking forward to better and brighter days. You should know this tinman. Women overlooked you your entire life for someone richer or better looking just like Laker fans, they didn't lose any sleep over you lulz Pretty much you're more Jeremy Lin than HAKEEM.
They didn't drop Lin cause they think they were going to get Ben Simmons. They dropped Lin cause the bachelor Kobe Bryant didn't give him a rose. Fans didn't want a guy who keep giving away balls to the other team
You can justify what type of fan you are until the end of time. That's on you, and it's past the point of bringing your perception of Lin's skills/potential/mistreatment down to Earth. With that aside, you mentioned the Portland "incidents," almost in a manner that would compliment Jeremy. I cannot imagine how you could possibly justify Lin's decision making during that playoff series. I don't know why you would even bring that up. As you are a self-proclaimed "Lin Fan," each instance that you bring up that debacle, you're really not helping your boy out (I don't think you care though...his sad mark on the Rockets is entertaining for you to discuss). Every Houston Rockets fan and, well, reasonable NBA fans for that matter, witnessed how detrimental Lin was during crunchtime in that series. His mistakes were epic and part of the reason he was moved afterwards. The point guard position is crucial, in terms of leadership and being the "floor general" that guides a given team to victory, by making intelligent, team-centered decisions, especially when the game is on the line. You also implied that had Jeremy been on the floor with less than a second left, Damian wouldn't have hit the three ball (Was that a joke?) Lillard was, and is, a far superior player than Jeremy and his speed was something that Jeremy had difficulty with the entire series. If you want to claim that Jeremy "stopped" Damian from scoring for a set of minutes, that's fine. However, you don't account for how Jeremy's inability to keep up with Damian caused our defense to crumble, as Damian was able to penetrate the paint over and over again. Please review the tape of that series and see how Jeremy was beaten off the dribble by almost every Portland guard, and even their forwards, during a basic switch. Fandom is a great thing and it allows us to support different teams and players. However, although this is the "NBA Dish," this is still Clutchfans, which is 99% die-hard Rockets fans. The Portland series leaves a bad taste in our mouths, in part, because multiple games that we lost were winnable, and without some late-game errors by a certain point guard, the overall result of that series may have been different. Post-game interviews somewhat suggested an apology from Lin to his teammates, so I'm not off the mark when I believe he shoulders a great deal of the blame. You already know this though. Let me be clear and note that any former Rocket who played like Lin in a playoff series would get the SAME criticism from Rockets fans. So, it has nothing to do with anything personal related to Jeremy. It has everything to do with his play during the playoffs, and in this case, against the Blazers.
Lin fans are connected on an emotional level. He's their Santa Claus except he doesn't deliver. anything.
Not a Lin fan, but this confuses me a bit. Lin makes 2.2mil/year right now and probably makes your monthly salary in half a day or a day (I take that statement back if you're a top manager or millionaire, which I doubt). Are you really in the position to laugh at people that have a guy that's making millions and living his dream (there are <500 active NBA players in the world, the world's best league), which every basketball player dreams of achieving? I think if 7billion people could choose between zboy's life and Lin's life, they would all choose the Lin route. It seems incredibly stupid to try to make Lin look like a scrub or to make fun of people who see him as a role model. You probably achieved absolutely nothing compared to Lin. Your gif is supposed to be funny, but don't you think Lin would make that expression when seeing your posts and your work/salary ratio? Same goes for all other posters here that cosntantly make fun of him.
Dude, you are way too serious. I posted about the Portland series based on the riff about the human brain blocking out past trauma. Chill out...
Funny thing is...that Lin has never led his team in turnovers/game on any team he's been on in the NBA...except the Knicks.
Incorrect. The Lakers have Byron Scott as their head coach. He is an idiot. Every player that left the Lakers after last season is having a much better season this year.
The Lakers know he's a terrible coach. That's why they haven't fired him. When they decide they want to start trying to win again, they'll hire a new coach.
