I think we're all glad your source was wrong on this one (no source is 100%) and that there's a chance he'll be back sooner rather than later.
By schedule he should back this week 4th on PNX, and continue 6th POR 9th GSW(on 4th qt) 10th POR no more games before ASW
Watched second half, wasn't pretty, but at the end he has a spark u can see it , it's all good, spin move at the base is still at perfection.
no defense in the D league. DMo got really angry at one point @ his teammates for not running back on defense.
Good for getting some burn. I'm hesitant about his ability to contribute any time soon, and reaggravating his back is worrisome. Thankfully, we brought the Smithsonian home, where he belongs. Get well, DMo.
Guys, if he were seriously dinged, we wouldn't have let him go to RGV to play. Wake up. We're storing him so we can play Terrence and try to create some sort of value for him before we move him out. DMo will be right back in the rotation as soon as Terrence (and/or Clint) is gone.
He looked bad on defense. He made some hooks. Made some very nice assists. Texas didn't have powerful bigs so I was hoping DMo would back what they had with force, but he didn't. Just turn around and jump hooks, without really backing his man too much. Missed a free throw (short) and a three pointer from top of the key. Looks like Hulk compared to Putney.
the fact that Jones can't even get playing time with such a decimated frontcourt is damning. Burned and destroyed. It's a lost cause. We can't raise his value anymore. Trade him. And the more Brew plays the lower his value gets..if that's possible. There's no point waiting if Morrey has any deal in place. The only I can think of is that he's waiting to see if more teams decide to sell. The two facts are completely unrelated. Need playing time for Capela and the injury of DMO. Why people want to wear tinfoil hats.
Why would a sane GM want to trade for him now? The guy is on the last year or last years of his rookie contract. Getting him and hoping for him to extend when he is a FA? He goes where the money is. I am seeing him leaving like Parsons left us but a few of us would care He is inconsistent and probably still feeling the after effect of his nerve injury. Why would a playoff team or any team want him now? He does not bring anything The best is let him go in Free Agency... the only option or 2nd round pick
Well he does have a small expiring contract, maybe some team sees value in that. Otherwise, why would any sane GM have EVER traded for Jones?
In those recent articles about Terrence and Rockets players they viewed Jones as a viable stretching forward. That was seen as his greatest asset. His small expiring contract can only be a filler in a larger trade. The Rox said they won't part with guys like Lawson so I think a larger trade is out of the question for now. The larger issue is that this team as constructed isn't good enough You need more than just a good coach, they will have to think about major retooling, part rebuilding soon. I will be interested in the offseason. What are the Rox really going to do. Dwight is on the clock..... role players are on the clock What happens to Durant and the other dominoes will start falling after that.
Has there ever been any evidence that any team has ever sacrificed wins to raise a player's trade value? Just seems too stupid to be true
...so DMo ruins his body's rep to help out Daryl? Demotes himself? Lowers his value in a contract year just for Daryl? DMo is a good guy, but not that good of a guy....he's also one guy who probably wouldnt stand for faking an injury to sit out.
D-Mo comes in at around the 37:35 mark of the youtube video in case you want to watch. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/1v5k66No1co" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Some notes: - Doesn't look impeded in any way, but he seems to be very careful. - Rust and stamina issues, his first 3-4 shots and almost all his misses were short, hit the front of the rim. - A few really awesome passes which would be really nice to have when Josh Smith is on the bench for the Rockets. - Interesting mental note: seems very comfortable as a leader. Notes on other Vipers: - KJ is Corey Brewer. Same fearless but thoughtless driving mentality. No visible improvement in 3pt form. Amazing rebounder though, which would be nice now that we're starting two SF's. - Joshua Smith is a good player, we know that, but he continues to lose weight and become more mobile. That's a good sign. I'm hoping he'll be our 5th big man next season. Howard, Capela, D-Mo, Josh Smith, Joshua Smith looks like a promising big man rotation for next season. - Putney is still killing it but he is significantly better at hitting his 3's when it's on the move. I'm not sure he'd get those kinds of shots on the Rockets. Still, I would like to try him over T Jones given Jones' aggression regression. Jones plays like he weighs 185lbs anyway. - Carlino is a heady PG, came down from France. I see some Andre Miller in him, I think we should keep an eye on him for next season.
My God, how ugly the other team is haha DMo looked happy to be in RVG, greeting all the kids who performed
