Screw that, he was right in that first tech. If I am him, I am in a contract year and what Dudley did was not a basketball play. You blame him for wanting an obvious flagrant foul that play was nowhere near the ball and it really can cause a hyper-extended knee or a less serious ankle injury.
The refs have been bad at officiating big men for a long time but you can't be getting yourself thrown out like Dwight did tonight though. Last night ejection was total BS but tonight Dwight was just stupid in the moment and wasn't thinking about the team. Just dumb and poor leadership. This team is just a total mess.
The reason Dwight has the knee and back problems is because people jump on his back... jump on his shoulders. . . . these happen cause the refs not doing his jobs. - JB Bickerstaff POINT ON!!!! Refs won tonite Rocket River
True but Hakeem played in a different era. In today's game Dwight has to stfu. Especially after the first tech.
Dwight is a human being just like ANY of us. The guy is built like a tank, but coaches, NBA players, and refs just think they can T off on the guy whenever they want...AND its BS. They did the same damn thing with Yao... JB is gonna get a major fine for his comments...BUT its time that the NBA freaking treat Dwight with some damn respect.
Dwight is receiving CAREER ENDING type punishment every night Just like Yao . . .. don't think the dragging and pulling and hanging on him help his feet heal Rocket River
Yao should have been in the NBA much longer, and he probably chose to leave early because of the injuries.
I love the guy but part of me thinks he wants out. I DO NOT BELIEVE he is stupid and he knows the quickest ticket to Miami is to do things like this!
If that's true, then I don't see how you can love a guy who would do stuff to get out of every situation he's been in...ORL, LAL and now HOU? Do you really believe he'd foul his way out of Houston and do other petulant stuff?
Yikes. It's like we don't support competitive nature anymore. Some techs are stupid, but I guess I'm in the group that believes Dwight isn't officiated very well. The fouls he gets remind me of what the refs did to Yao, especially on the offensive fouls. Yao was called for at least 1-2 illegal screens each and every damn game. The same things happen to Dwight. The difference between Dwight and Yao is the style of play. Dwight's style lends itself to power. With that, as we've all seen, he takes an absolute BEATING every night. You can hear the fouls. When he commits the same foul, he'll often get a flagrant, and when he tries to ask for clarification, he's T'd up. We've all seen it. Can Dwight control some of it? Absolutely, but he talks the same amount as his peers who AREN'T given nearly the same amount of Ts. LeBron James shoves more people around than our entire team, but Dwight leads the league in techs. I don't understand it, and I don't necessarily believe in a conspiracy. I do think that Dwight is unfairly judged by the media and non-Rockets fans. In terms of character, I think he's a great guy. On the court, he's the last thing from "soft" (Hi, Kobe/KG/KD), and when he shows just a little muscle, the refs swoop in and the fans/media go BERSERK. Does the NBA officiate Dwight with a blurry microscope? For sure. Again, I don't understand why. L.A. fans are so petty with it all. But, we've seen this type of stuff with Yao (minus the T's).Dwight will overcome the officials and his, unexpected, imbalanced emotions this season. Playoffs or bust.
