With the way this team plays (Harden ballhogging), other creators almost seem pointless. That is, unless this organization wises up and realizes that ball movement and overall team basketball (see: Warriors & Spurs) wins.

I'd be very happy with this.. I just don't know if Sacramento would be down considering how close they are to 8th seed. They don't really need a point guard anyways..

If you could get a 3rd team involved to take Lawson & have that 3rd team trade pieces to Sacramento, it MIGHT work.

Atlanta wants a sf in return for Teague.

    So

Ariza/decker for Teague. Decker should even out the value there.

Now we need a sf to replace Ariza and we need to dump Lawson to someone who values him enough to consider picking up his option next year. Not many teams fit this criteria if any. I think Brooklyn is one team that faces an bleak Free agent market they will have money but so will every team in the NBA, and not much talent to attract anyone unless they over pay. Lawson auditions for his option to be picked up and KJ gives them some youth to develop. Brewer while overpaid is a nice vet and the cost to get Lawson and KJ. Maybe den 2nd too.

    So

Joe Johnson for Lawson/ brewer/ kj. Hopefully kj and Lawson is enough value for them to take on brewer. Johnson had a rough start but has really picked it up lately.

Then make it a three way and add phoenix in there too. Pick up tucker for TJones. Tucker gives us coverage at 2,3 and the 4.

Tucker/Teague/joe Johnson/ some min player fillers for Lawson/brewer/ Kj/decker/TJones and maybe a few 2nd rounders need to go.

Squeezing this in under the hard cap is the challenge.

    Teague/Beverly/Terry
    Harden/Thorton
    Johnson/tucker
    DMoe/Smith/Harrell
    Howard/Capella

I know he's locked into that huge deal, but what about Lawson/Brewer/Jones/pick for Dragic/Deng.

Then you could do KJ to the Lakers for Brandon Bass and a pick.

    Dragic/Bev/Terry
    Harden/Thornton
    Ariza/Deng/Dekker
    D-Mo/Josh/Bass
    Dwight/Capela

Dragic is not going to move the needle. Better off keeping Lawson

So if the clippers fail (as is going to happen) already the rumours are out that Doc will trade Griffin.
What offer do you think we can make to take him? According to Lowe , the clippers are NOT interested in picks but want win now players.

We have pretty much nothing to offer besides Harden, and that certainly won't happen. Miami seems like the most realistic destination for the time being.

    Nobody.

The only players the Rockets have that come even close are Dwight (duplicative) and Harden (not happening... I'd rather have a star SG with 1 year motivation issues than a star PF with temperament issues that also doesn't play d... it's a guard league after all)

HAHA probably, but I kinda feel like Brewer would be fit into in a good system that passes the ball like ATL

Come on guys. Use your imagination. Griffin may be the only star in the market for a long while. Cousins won't be traded. PG won't be traded. Love maybe traded but he too for win now players and he is worse than Griffin. (the advantage for Love is his contract tho).
    Morrey will make an offer.
And Boston's offer will include Crowder most likely. Crowder was a filler for the Rondo trade. Well not a filler but an extra piece, not the main.
We could trade the assets we have to get some players that will allow us to make a competitive offer for Griffin.

Harden has a player option? That's very un-Morey like.

I have no doubt Morey will make an offer for Blake. But I firmly believe Boston has the best package. Next up would be Sacramento.

We should work on building depth rather than acquiring that 3rd star.

No... my point was people are down on Harden because of his seeming motivation issues this year... but I'd still rather have that then Griffin, just because of the way the NBA has gone positionally.

I'd love to have them both, and would happily trade Dwight for him (because of Capela)... but that ain't happening.

Maybe three team thing can be worked out... but who really needs Dwight, or would prefer Dwight over Griffin at this point?

The best I could imagine was a 3way with Houston, Clips, & Pellies

    http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=h2t747j

It would net the Clippers Anderson, Gordon, & some depth.

    Rox get Griffin

Pellies do it for kicks & giggles (also a better shot at Simmons)

My way of saying if Boston wants Blake Griffin (and the Clips are actually trying to trade him), then IMHO Boston will get him.

    Sorry for double post

Rox would also send Clips unprotected 2018 1st round

I think you are underrating Morrey's resourcefullness. The main problem I see is Doc's willingness to trade Griffin in his prime to another contender in the West who he might face in the playoffs for years to come.
And you never get back equal value for a star anyway..not to mention taht there is a consistent effort through the press to overrate Boston's assets. You think Boston's first is such a great asset..there's very good chance it could end up be no.5 and give back a player who never amounts to more than a starter. And as for the Bkn 2018 pick taht's even more probably to be lower..after BKN has so much capspace it's a given it will manage to attract talent in the second biggest market in the league.
But Doc..yeah..he will rather if he makes a CP3 or Griffin trade to be with an Eastern team.

Anyway..it seems Bellineli rumours are now out. I would love to get Bellineli. His price should be a useful expiring. two more years at 6 per for a great shooter..not bad.
