Well times changed, JBB give 6mins, last time and it was before Smith we got.
It seems DMo must be in better shape than last year to even get role minutes

One way or the other, it pretty much has to. With DMo coming back and the possibility of Harrell being with the team for the playoff run, that gives you 4 power forwards not counting Capela who until recently was starting at PF. The obvious trade would be Jones, because he brings the least to the table but as terrible as he's played, can they find someone that wants to take him? We'll see if Morey can work some magic, maybe someone wants him as a small expiring contract.

Wait it out...just because hes going to the dleague doesnt mean hes good going forward...a plan is in place, just like it was before..doesnt mean he wont have soreness again. The true test is real playing time, not finishing rehab.

Yeah but even if he has soreness again, he probably just plays through it like so many other players have that were going through the same rehab. It was a luxury being able to take time off during the season for extra rehab, but now the Rockets can't afford that anymore. They need to start winning and they have to make some moves to get their playoff roster set.

Lol, no he wont...hes not going to risk screwing up his back to help the Rockets just make the playoffs. You think he wants to go through surgery again and another year off?

"Soreness" in the back is different from soreness from working out or soreness from a minor ankle sprain..very different. I'm not even convinced it's soreness and not simply pain..rockets always try the PR spin with injuries, when they can.

His last game was 6 min, you can't argue with a fact.

I could be wrong, but it seemed like it was a jab at JBB playing him low minutes. But yes, the last game was 6 minutes.

Was at the Spurs game on Wednesday and saw him out shooting before pregame. Took a video on my phone. No drills or movement. Just shooting.

So, in your opinion, Dwight was risking screwing up his back when he played through the same soreness DMo dealt with after the same surgery?

Soreness related to back muscle strength is normal when recovering from this surgery and if you looked into it more, you'd see that. There's nothing structurally wrong with his back, the muscles just aren't strong enough yet. The extra rehab will help that some, but it's just something players have to go through when coming back from that surgery.

consider that, if he started having soreness or discomfort, JB would have no reason to increase his minutes. My guess is, he started with limited minutes because that's just logical coming off of back surgery, but as he continued to play, he started having issues and for that reason his minutes stayed low, until finally he had to sit out and rehab again.

I think it was a plain and dry as u put it he would have never been out a second Time in the first place.

Also him and dwight did not have the same back surgery. Further more everyone responds differently to back surgey and lastly dwight is a freak of nature compared to dmo. Two different body types theres nothing about dwight that is like dmo other than there both tall.

You're focusing too much on the word "soreness"...soreness can be due to different causes...also, back is a general term. There is no specific back muscle. They could be referring to the lats, erectors, or something deeper. You also have to consider if it's on both sides or not. IIRC, Dwight's was just on one side. Dmo's could be both...could be on a different muscle than Dwight...also, did it come from a muscle that just got overworked in training, when it wasn't suppose to be (Dmo mentioned adjusting his training)? Can they pinpoint when it happened or was it just a general symptom of his movement? The latter would indicate more of a core issue than the former. It's not one size fits all.

Also, the back muscles aren't even the focus of core work. That's a myth. You mess up your back, in large part, because you have trouble with your glutes and anterior core, as in, the front of your body, not behind. Yes, there's work to be done back there, but it's not the focus. The back is usually in pain or sore because it's already being overworked and trying to pick up the slack for other muscles, like the glutes. The answer isn't to make the back stronger, it's to get it help from the primary core muscles. It's just more common to say "oh he needs to strengthen his back more" but any trainer worth anything will tell you that's not literally what is being done. That's just the message that gets passed, so they don't have to explain all the technical stuff, so that's what Morey and Feigen repeat.

Oh no, I understand. When DMo first came back this season and started increasing minutes then all of sudden it got reduced to 5,6 minutes, people were saying JBB was dumb because TJones was playing over DMo.

I have always hoped to be wrong on this one. I hope he is healing, gets some minutes and that he's able to return to the Rockets.

I still hear it's going slowly, but even at that, it's better than nothing for the big fella.
