Morons are wasting golden opportunity with the talent we have. Two of the top 10 players in the league(Harden and Howard). Wasted on AMATEURISH coaches ! Pathetic.
You do not know what is going on behind all of this. How much is Les responsible? How many times has Morey been screwed over by other GMs (he usually fleeces them) You just cannot hire a coach like ordering a menu.... not that easy The coach will have to bring his players - a retooling is needed big time
Rep. That's pretty much what he's doing. I'm kind of a stats geek myself and built a ratings calculator for NBA 2k. It's pretty legit and puts out some seriously accurate numbers in sims. But that's a video game. In real life, you need a coach that knows how to coach up his players. Period. You've also got to find players that fit well, not just statistically, although that's part of it, but also socially and skill wise. You've got to have chemistry. We lost that when we lost Josh and we got some of it back when he returned, but now we've got a coach that has no clue what he's doing with his rotations. JB is lost.
Spurs: Ariza has been hot, we got to Run him off the line, let him take shots he doesnt want to. Rockets: Danny Green cant do anything but shoot but has been struggling. Lets not gaurd him and if he makes a few, uhhh, we try then but he is already hot.
This team frustrates me like no other... I don't understand why they throw the ball to Capella in the post so often, or look for him but never Dwight. Or how they would rather have Beverly or Ariza create or dribble around then passing the ball to Dwight. There is so many holes in this team. This coaching situation needs to change. You can't have serious championship aspirations with a coach like JB. Maybe he turns it around in a couple year with experience but no way it happens this year with him. No way.
Thats a good point. I hate how often we crumble when things don't go as planned. The moment we start missing shots or there is a turnover, we start panicking. One turnover turns in to 3, a missed shot turns into a rushed shot, instead of working the ball around for a great shot we shoot the first available shot, etc. This team needs a calming force. DIRECTION. Last season, McHale did an okay job with that, to be honest. McHale went through it all and the players could respect that. JB brings nothing like that to the team. He is so unexperienced that he is cannot relate to the players when things get rough.
Amazed at how people overestimate how good Morey is. For every good trade he also had very bad trades. He's an average GM. Not bad, just okay. It is a shame some people can't see the good and the bad.
Well if you play NBA 2k then you know the coach doesn't really matter. You can hire and fire whoever, as long as you have the players you are going to run what you want to run through the coach. It sounds similar to the belief that Morey doesn't think a coach adds much to a team. It's like a video game. I've always been a HUGE fan of Morey, but if he really thinks this is going to cut it then he's going to deserve his ultimate fate. Les needs to step in and tell Morey that he's getting a high profile coach like Messina or Thibs and that Morey NEEDS to work WITH him. No, Ifs ands or buts about it.
