Not that it would be atypical of any crash, but how fast were they driving? Just trying to add some context to my sheer terror. Nader definitely did at least one thing right.
It was not what I would have expected So much talk about the Old cars being DRIVING TANKS Rocket River

Weren't these cars meant for high density urban environments? I doubt that the typical Indian would take this car up to such speeds.
Nothing can compete with the Volvo 850!!! <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/u7V-G3PiRUc" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Firmly tongue in cheek here, but the obvious solution for the Smart Car advocates is to ban all cars larger than itself. Can't beat physics!
here's the 'safety' car of my generation -- Volvo -- vs itty bitty new car. To think we hated the volvo's in auto body shop because of the crumple zones. Spoiler alert -- new car wins! Amazing improvement in safety tech over the yrs. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/HCecdOBCFjI" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
