Harden basically is a baby. He lost a fairly big game and he was upset. we get that and we are with him on it, but going to strip club or hanging out with Kloe is the wrong move.

We all have to vent or let our upset/anger/frustration out, but come on to a strip club???
So when he is upset he needs to be comfort by naked women. that immaturity right there and he's not a guy that can carry a team to championship.

I don't have anything with him going out to strip clubs in general. It's just the timing - it's like staying out partying til 4 AM every time you have a big meeting or presentation the next day and then looking like you didn't sleep or you don't care. I personally don't care about this one particular incident - the ones that bother me are the clubbing during the Portland, LA, and Golden State playoff series.

Harden did not GO to the strip club. He RETURNED to the strip club after the Rockets borrowed him for a few hours during the game.

No, we complained last year too when we suspected effort.

We should install stripper poles in the locker rooms and have the RPD girls go in there and do what they gotta do.

To be fair, having a consistently high FG% is a really good thing on the nights where you aren't getting the calls. Remember the nights where Harden goes like 3/15 and ends up with 13 points because he can't get the calls?

Since the strip club visit, Harden is averaging 31-11-11 on ~50% shooting.

Maybe this nonsense with sasquatch is causing him to not visit the strip club enough. It's the temple in which he refocuses and gathers his powers.

    Pelicans game after Xmas day.

This is nothing, remember how we were all felling good after a Xmas day victory against the Spurs, and then we go on the road and lose the next game to the Pelicans. We thought we were turning the corner.

But then guess what? Even though we went on the road, that night as soon as we got back to Houston, guess who was back in the strip club?

Harden basically landed in Houston and immediately went to the strip club after a loss!

Do you understand that in addition to FTs, TS% also accounts for the extra point on 3 point shots?

If I go 5 for 10 on 2 point shots then I shoot 50% and produce 10 points.

Likewise if I shoot another 10 shots and only hit 4 but they are all 3 pointers then I shoot 40% but produce 12 points.

What do you think is more efficient, 10 points on 10 shots or 12 points on 10 shots. The 3 point shot is such a huge part of today's game that fg% alone is pointless. Producing fewer points but having a better fg% doesn't do you any good. Efficiency is about measuring what you produce per shot and for that to be accurate you have to include free throws and the extra point on 3's.

I'm not sure I follow your point on a higher fg% helping on those nights Harden isn't getting calls. If Harden is shooting poorly such as the 3/15 that you used as an example, then how do you expect him to have a high fg%?
Sure it would certainly be better if he hit every shot but that's not realistic.

The fact is that Harden is one of the most efficient players in the league. I realize that doesn't fit certain peoples narrative but its the truth. He's been consistently at 60%+ TS% and he's not too far off this year (58.4%). Last year Harden averaged over 27 pts/game in the playoffs while posting a TS% of 62%. That was the second highest efficiency of any player, trailing only Chris Paul yet we continue to hear that he isn't play well in the playoffs last season.

If people don't like Harden and want to criticize him then fine, but dont make stuff up. Two games ago when Harden had the triple double, someone in the game thread called it "selfish" and "me first stat padding". That was the first time that I ever heard 14 assists referred to as selfish.

Fchowd strongly disagrees. Harden is without question a high volume inefficient chucker because FG% tells him so.

And FTW has a message for you... Delusional, stat cherry picker

But for real. There are legit reasons to criticize Harden. Why do people have to just make stuff up when there are real legit things out there to gripe about?

Strip Clubs are the source of Harden's power.

Against Detroit, he was selfish. The stats are irrelevant. First, he played no defense, because defense isn't measured with individual box score stats. Second, he handled the ball the vast majority of time. PNR threes at the top of the key, PNR dribble drives that led to hand offs for dunks, dish outs for threes, and an unhealthy amount of turnovers. All of this is reflected in his +/-, but to be honest, this was one of those games you had to watch to appreciate just how much Harden contributed towards statpadding and how little he contributed to winning.

The ultimate barometer, of course is the final score. Harden can keep handling the ball for most of our plays, but damn him if he cannot reel
In his offense to make his defense at least competent enough to help us win games. I saw a different Harden when Josh Smith came in. It's like he was the big brother who made Harden stay honest on both ends of the court, while easing his load a bit with the ballhandling. "Don't worry, James, everything is going to be alright." Crazy that that's what Smith has become for us, isn't it?
