I agree to an extent that in order to reach our full potential we do need somone like lawson. At the same time if having him play if the difference in being a top 5 team and winning 55 games even if the end result of we can't get past GS or the Spurs, that's the same problem every team has that's going for a title. In a perfect world our secondary playmaker would be at SF with bev starting. Bev is a 3&d guy, that's why our offense was so lethal with parsons. A PF like Marcus Morris would be ideal too because he can shoot and attack off the dribble and finish. Bev/JH/?/Morris/DH That would be the ideal feasible lineup. I really like Ariza but we really need a SF the defense can respect to put The ball on the floor and make a play for himself going to the hoop or for others either at the rim (dwight) or on the perimeter (Morris, bev) Or swung back to harfen for an open 3 of a scrambling defense.
Lawson isnt the problem. We got him due to few things, first he is cheap, second we thought Harden is only missing a PG away from being great, and lastly another body at PG with beverly as off the bench and terry as insurance. Last yr success has us blinded by the fact that this team only needs a PG like Lawson who can take ball handling pressure away from Harden. Not knowing that the issue is Harden himself. You can have CP3, Westbrook...even a young Nash still wouldnt be able to solved Harden's issue. With those guys this may even become a bigger problem behind doors.
