He was pretty mediocre to bad in the Clippers series minus one or two games.
Mcgrady had better series in the playoffs. Just goes to show how important the team around you is.

    25.4 ppg
    5.6 rpg
    8.1 apg
    1.4 spg

In the Clippers series including a triple-double in there. Mediocre to bad players don't put up those numbers and get triple doubles in playoff games. This was his worst series too from a statistical standpoint.

On 39.8% shooting and 5 turnovers per game. Mcgrady has had better series and has never won a playoff series. Pure circumstance that Harden has advancement more in the playoffs than someone like Mcgrady.

Rockets run a promo where you get a beard if you pay for your tickets in $1 bills. Save James the hassle.

It doesn't matter how much sense you make. They hate the guy so everything he does is wrong no matter how illogical it is. Harden is not perfect he's a great offense player, he'll give you some assists and rebounds. He does not play defense well he never has in Houston and our system depends on his ISO and kick abilities. It was true last year too he performed much better and thats all people know. The reason why so many people where calling for Mchale to be fired is that we saw this during the Portland series. We needed a coach who didn't depend on Harden so much. Instead Morey got rid of two players who could get their own shots and gave Mchale an extension. Harden is 26 we get better role players or maybe a superstar and a better coach and we'll be fine. This was what the league expected of us last year but Harden balled out of his mind in large part due to Thibs and Coach K. I'm not sure I've seen a fan base turn on a superstar this quickly before. WCF's to trade Harden by January the next year has to be some sort of record.

You got an axe to grind bro. I bet most people here are rooting for Harden to focus like last year and dominate, myself included. Saw a bit of that tonight, and hope to see more. Asking our best player to focus like last year isn't the same as hating him. And for the people that are quick to turn on Harden, a little success on the court is quick to silence them. What people have every right to criticize is his frustrating lackadaisical attitude. This is the house that Hakeem built, and that's the level of commitment that people expect.

More strip clubs please. First triple double of the season.

"Harden's big game made him the first player to have at least 33 points, 17 rebounds and 14 assists in a game since Chamberlain had 53 points, 32 rebounds and 14 assists for Philadelphia against the Lakers on March 18, 1968, according to statistics provided by the Rockets from the Elias Sports Bureau."

So looks like going to strip club on day off didn't make Harden play any worse just better

no it's not case closed. Harden apparently went out at 2 am because he had the day off the next day..and we saw what happened. The team had the day off instead of having a serious practice on defence and then the next day we sucked as usual.
If you have no practices and give days off to players when the team plays so bad in defence that's what happens and that should be what its talked about here.
How the coaching staff instead of being serious is just enabling the players and taking it easy on them instead of holding them accountable and arranging more hard practices so as our communication, our cohesion and our defence become from laughable to at least average.

This thread started because TMZ reported Harden went to nightclub on his day off. What he does in his day off is his own business
We sucked in defence has more to do with the coaching staff Maybe you can post your comments under "Fire Bickerstaff" thread

Why aren't you including free throws? It's obviously a big part of his game.
Harden shot 10.4 ft/game in the Clipper series and for the series he had a TS% of .593. For the entire playoffs his TS% was 62% which was second highest (to CP3) for any player taking more than 10 shots/game.

His assist/TO ratio in the series was 1.62 which is identical to what Curry posted in last years playoffs.

As far as McGrady, he only had one playoff series in his career where he posted more than 8 assists per game and in that series he had a TS& of 48.35. The highest TS% that McGrady every posted for a playoff series was 56.0%.

So, in that Clipperr series where you say Harden wasn't that good, he was more efficient than McGrady ever was and his assist totals matched McGrady's best ever.

James Harden is the first player to go for 33/17/14 within 48 hours of visiting a strip club.

The only stat he needs to judge how efficient a player is, is FG%.

fchowd doesn't believe in those stats you just posted. He pushes the "FG% or bust" narrative to define efficiency, for whatever reason.
