Germany crashed out of the European championships, will NOT be at the Olympic Games

This sucks. Nowitzki never really played up to his superstar status and the only player playing halfway decent was Mithat Demirel, a diminutive point guard with guts (better than Moochie, I think). The coach was sacked.

I wonder what Shawn Bradley thinks now...he got the German citizenship specifically because he wanted to go to the Olympics...

Also a big shock for Nowitzki...if Germany qualifies for the Olympic Games in 2008, he would be 30 by then. It is not certain whether he will continue playing for the German team.
