Pretty much agree and he's playing at a fairly high level again. This is the guy I want to add to the Rockets if we cannot trade for a star level (which I'm sure we cannot) player of course.

If the Rockets do get him, then that would mean DMO or TJones won't be with the Rockets next year unless the Rockets are just getting Anderson for a rental. I think that is highly unlikely they would let Anderson get away if they made a trade for him.

i think dmo is untradeable, ie he wouldn't pass a health/fitness test for a trade to be approved.

If NOP would give up Gordon/Gee for Gay, wonder what they'd give up for either Ariza or Brewer?

I like Gee as a cheap alternative replacement for one of our SFs if we could move one of our SFs in combination with other assets to get back a young star.

Also wondering if Sac would take Lawson and Terrence for Gay and Curry. That would allow us to work the Pels for a little better deal on Gay. Send Gay and Brewer to them for Gee, Gordon.

That would leave us with a 2.5 million TPE, and an approximately $5.1 TPE, along with Gordon's expiring (which could then be traded for incoming salary(ies) of up to $19.5 million. That's pretty good trade flexibility. We get a plausible replacement for Brewer and Lawson and get off Brewer's salary. And we keep our major trade assets (Capela, Ariza, Dekker, picks) for a bigger deal for a star level player.

I thought if you acquired a player past a certain date, you couldn't flip them in combination with with another player..

You can't in combination with another player, but you can trade them by themselves. Gordon's salary x 1.25 is ~ 19.5 million

Can keep Bev as the starting PG with Gallo as the second ballhandler in the line up. I liked that Battier-Artest tandem. The defensive versatility of Ariza & Gallo would make the Rockets interesting.

Why not keep our assets and just sign Raphiel Putney to play stretch 4 and the 3?? Would also consider signing Perry Jones as well, kid is absolutely tearing up the D League.

    Ryan Anderson was yesterday's solution.

perhaps Hibbert is on the block. Perhaps not because the source is Steve Kyler who makes things up.
I think Charlotte should be interested in him.

So, say we trade Brewer/Jones/Dekker/Future 1st to the Pelicans for Eric Gordon.

Then we swap Gordon for P. Gasol/McDermott/Brooks/Felicio (gets waived).

We'd have 2 open roster spots. We could trade Ty Lawson/cash to the Suns (since Bledsoe is out for the year) for Morris/Tucker.

    Beverley/Brooks/Terry
    Harden/Thornton/KJ
    Ariza/Tucker/McDermott
    Gasol/Morris/D-Mo/Harrell
    Dwight/Capela

You could send KJ and Harrell down to the D-League or trade Thornton or Terry to open up a spot for one of Harrell/KJ to stay on the main roster while the other goes down to Rio Grande.

I know he is injury prone but NOP's Eric Gordon strikes me as exactly the type of player you want to pair with Harden in the backcourt, at least offensively. Basically a younger Jason Terry.

IF Golden State is looking to offload Harrison Barnes, so that they'll have plenty of cap space to resign Curry in 2 years as suggested at:

    http://www.inquisitr.com/2718106/nb...te-warriors-possibly-trading-harrison-barnes/

    then why don't we offer:

Ariza or Brewer + TJones ($10.8M total)

    for

Barnes + Jason 'utterly worthless' Thompson ($10.9M total)?

GS gets two rotation players for Barnes, and Ariza for next year at less money than this year. They'll have plenty of $'s to pay Curry on top of Thompson and Green.

Houston gets a valuable RFA in Harrison Barnes, and cap filler Thompson (who has a non-guaranteed contract next year).

I suspect we'd need to also toss in a draft pick, but it's worth a shot...

I see no reason for GS to break up this squad regardless of Barnes FA status. They will make their moves in the off season after defending their tittle.
