    Title says it all.

I have already formatted the photo galleries and everything, basically, I just need some server space and FTP access (not any photo hosting place where you have to adapt to their format). Do free websites still exist or are there only pay services out there now...?

    Thanks for your advice.

try pbase.com. You can upload through their website. A bit slow for sure.

Thanks...but uploading through a website, without FTP program, would take ages...I have taken almost 1,000 pictures already, and I would have to upload thousands of files (with thumbnails, etc.).

Well www.villagephotos.com allows you to upload via FTP.

Only restriction is you can only upload 5MB per day (on the free service).

You could try www.tripod.com - it is actually a free website but you can upload .zip files with multiple photos and it automatically unzips them one uploaded. They have pretty strict bandwitdth limitations though.

Thanks davo. I was using www.tripod.de (where somehow FTP access did not work anymore), but I started a www.tripod.com account and it works fine (except that one cannot do deeplinking of pictures, for that, I keep using tripod.de).

You can see the result (in combination with Blogger) at my round-the-world travel blog.
