What happened to the good Capela who dunked over people and swatted shots?

Not buying the rookie wall thing, he played very little on his 1st year, but he was on the Vipers and worked all year with our staff. If we are not good enought to have a player phisically ready on his second year, well, we have to check on that.

Having said that, let´s not move him to the bench. We need his defense to start the game, it really is a difference on defense vs the other PFs on our team.

On terms of his development, I have always believed he is kind of Ibaka in terms of he is not as young as we believe he is. Really common practice outside US in a lot of sports.

But agree with everyone else, he is doing great. Of course he was going to regress a little, there was a moment when he was top30 player in the league ranked by PER, he is in his 2nd year, and by reading he seems to be highly valued around the league.

Hes extremely young, thrown into the fore and is giving it his all under the circumstances. Hes at a wall but unknowledgeable idiot fans make threads calling him the idiot. This remedial forum man.

I think Harden is icing out Capela. We only see him run PnR and throw alley-oops to Howard now.

    Has anyone else noticed that?

I haven't noticed Harden "icing out" Capela as much as I've noticed Harden making more of an effort to get the ball inside to Dwight. Ideally, James would find both in the post, whoever had the best position. Harden needs to continue to work on passing into the post. He's big, he's a very good passer, and he has two large targets, often both on the court at the same time. Get with the program, James! It'll make things easier for you in the long run.

Last 3 games have been Utah 2x and MEM. Playing the same team 2x in a row allows the other team to better defend. Its not easy to have a good game with either Zbo or Gasol in your lap the whole game...

He's still green, he will figure it out.

Clint just eats oysters with DMo when Harden and Howard eat hamburgers.

Putting Capela in the starting lineup has helped us play better D to start the game. Imagine TJones starting the game or playing with small ball lineup with T Ariza at PF. We where getting flamed in the 1st Qtr of games. Combining Capela, with TAriza, and PBev allows us to stay in the game early.

He can't handle the terrible bounce pass as well as our opponents.

NBA big men are the tallest, fastest and strongest mofo's on the planet. Hanging with them on a regular basis for a full season is very tough, there's nothing you can do to prepare a player for it. The D-League isn't the NBA, and he didn't play much more than he already has this season.

I'm not the slightest bit worried about Capela. He's still effective, and he'll get used to the grind and start to play more explosively.

He lost interest in BB shortly after preseason.

Unfortunately he's just not very good. He's not awful, he may prove to be a very capable back up in the future, but he's been pretty poor this season (along with the rest of the team).

It's like watching Omer Asik. WTF happened to the dunk/block machine we saw earlier in the year?

He's been infected by the low energy of the rest of the team. He's having trouble putting in extra energy or concentration to finish point blank lay ups.

We should probably take him out of the starting lineup. He's not a starting caliber player yet.
