Why the hell is Israel in the Euro championships? are they not a part of Asia? Anyway they have made it to the quarters well done, but that as far as they will go I think.

The majority of Middle Eastern BBall Teams play in the Asian Championships including many of Isreal's neighboring countries. The list of countries competing against Yao and the CNT includes Lebanon, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, India, Kuwait, Syria, Iran, Qatar, and Jordan. My guess would be that Isreal just feels more comfortable playing in Europe and petitioned to play there when they first joined FIBA. Another guess is that Isreal had an international BBall team before many of the Arab countries and since they didn't recognize Isreal, they chose to join the Asian games. Both are entirely guesses, though.
It seems to me Israel is a very racist country, Their to good to play against arabs and asians. Ohwell they get there butts kicked in football and bball.
