The commentators seem surprised Lin made that shot. They're not aware that they're witnessing GOATness in front of their eyes.
If that was James Harden...he'd still be shooting free throws and getting a written apology from the Clippers.
I'm glad he made it. Looks eerily similar to an infamous playoff game, but the outcome was different, arguably season-altering. Remember when Rockets legend, Shane Battier, was elbowed in the head against the Lakers in the playoffs? He was drenched in blood and the refs didn't notice it until our whole team was shouting at them.
I don't think I implied that Jeremy Lin wasn't "tough." I related the blood and no-call to what happened to Shane.
It's the Lin fans breh - idiotic all of them Everything that does not praise Jerry Lin while putting down others is offensive to them.
Yep, never said you implied JLin wasn't tough. Just showing some JLin blood/bumps/bruises history with anyone not familiar with the Rockets.
He is also playing out of his position, against players that are taller than him. Most point guards in the Nba play as point guards and not shooting guards.
I don't know if your pictures of Lin's common injuries have anything to do with our familiarity with the Rockets. Those of us who have followed the Rockets since our childhood can tell you about minor and major, legitimate injuries that current and former Rockets have suffered. I don't think those injuries yield the notion of "being tough" (Though,I guess you could say that Dwight playing as well as he did in the playoffs with a torn MCL is being physically and mentally tough, but that's a whole different story) Heck, we could discuss the off-court injury in which Kenny Thomas was bitten in the face by a dog, or that horrible moment when we knew Barkley's career was over against the 76ers. There are men/women on this board who have 30-40+ years of Rockets fandom. This is the last place you'll find a ton of people who lack familiarity with all-things "Rockets." I'm sure someone on here could tell me the life story of Bryce Drew without having to Google it. And, if I had a question about Hakeem, someone here would probably have an answer posted in less than a minute. To me, it looks like you describe Lin's various injuries-- including the most recent video of the "no-call" which led to his bleeding-- as if they're something unique to the game of basketball. Every Rocket, and every player in the league, has been through bruises, tears, sprains and blood. One of the college kids that I coached had 3 of his teeth knocked out the other day, when another player tried blocking his shot, and swiped at his gums by mistake. (Pretty funny afterwards ) But, this stuff happens daily. Lin is no different, right? We both know what you're reaching for here. Just be friendly and admit it: You want us to say Jeremy is a tough, bad mamajamma (Carl Carlton reference). #GoRockets
