Ugh, None based on those options. I'd have no choice but to pick some old rappers that are still around like Q-Tip or Ghostface. I think most would say Kendrick Lamar, but I don't particularly like his style. More into just smooth effortless flow or a genuine aggressive MC that doesn't sound forced. I just always gets this feeling that he's "trying" when he raps...whether it be changing his voice to some high pitch, trying to sound angry, putting as many syllables as possible in a verse at the expense of flow. My favorite rappers are those where the verses just come out naturally. That being said, my favorite MC for last year is probably Pusha T. He definitely has a slower paced delivery, but every line seems to carry some weight. His new album went under the radar because it was just released at the end of the year, but I think I actually like it more than TPAB or Summertime 06. I think the OP went off rappers who make songs that are more popular / radio. I personally think Kendrick is talented but don't like the music he makes. Not my style.
