The european championships will take place in Sweden now in september. I live in Sweden myself, so I plan to attend at least some of the later games in the tournament. It´s not very often I get the chanse to attend quality basketball here so I´m really excited. Anyone else here planning to attend? Not very likely maybe. Do you know of any players I should watch for?
-Of course you should keep an eye out for the Slovenian National team because it has Boki Nachbar, but if you look on the main website for the Euro Basket 2003 Championship there are alot more NBA players/ prospects to watch out for... www.eurobasket2003.com Slovenian roster to Eurobasket 2003 SLOVENIA. On July 2, national team head coach Slobodan Subotic announced 24 players for Eurobasket 2003. The roster includes forward Bostjan Nachbar, Houston Rockets, and center Primoz Brezec, Indiana Pacers. http://www.eurobasket2003.com/uk/nyheter.asp?showid=414 2003-07-11 Future stars in Eurobasket 2003 There will be a lot of extraordinary players in Eurobasket 2003 in Sweden. There will be a lot of extraordinary players in Eurobasket 2003 in Sweden. Among them are some of the superstars of tomorrow. Quite a few of the talents drafted by the NBA teams two weeks ago have been picked for the preliminary rosters. In addition to the players mentioned below, it is possible that Zoran Planinic, G/F, Croatia, will make Eurobasket 2003. The Croatian roster has not yet been announced. First round drafts Mickael Pietrus, G/F, France (Golden State Warriors, drafted as no. 11) Zarko Cabarkapa, F/C, Serbia & Montenegro (Phoenix Suns, 17) Aleksandar Pavlovic, F, Serbia & Montenegro (Utah Jazz, 19) Boris Diaw-Riffiod, G/F, France (Atlanta Hawks, 21) Second round drafts Sofoklis Schortsanitis, F/C, Greece (Los Angeles Clippers, 34) Sani Becirovic, G, Slovenia (Denver Nuggets, 46) Darko Milicic, F/C, Serbia and Montenegro, who was picked as number two only behind LeBron James, will not play in Sweden. http://www.eurobasket2003.com/uk/nyheter.asp?showid=423 The preliminary rosters for the four teams playing in Group C of Eurobasket 2003 have now been presented. And they are impressive. In Södertälje, Peja Stojakovic will play for Serbia & Montenegro, Pau Gasol for Spain, Andrei Kirilenko for Russia and Joakim Blom for Sweden. Even if he is on the preliminary roster, Dejan Bodiroga, Serbia & Montenegro, will probably not play in Sweden. http://www.eurobasket2003.com/uk/nyheter.asp?showid=407
Thanks! I might catch some of the games in Södertälje, but probably I´ll just whatch some of the Final ones in Stockholm.
Yes, I'm going to the tournament! But where do I find the best basketballstores, where I can buy shoes, shoothing shirts, stuffs etc.? Hope you Legendary21 or anyone from Stockholm can give me some answers!
I live in Stockholm, I have a ticket for the finals........ok so u want to buy some basketball stuff here......hm there is a foot locker store in the central of Stockholm, but u don´t find some cool stuff.....There are alot of shoes but when it comes to jersey, there aren´t to many. But Foot locker is definitely the best store in Stockholm when it comes to basketball so check it out
Thanks for answering Ghettoestar, nice to see another svensk here. I don´t buy a lot of stuff anymore (read poor). I do know that you can find footlocker in the creatively named mall "Gallerian". Where are (will you be) staying ron?
Takk. Jeg svarer på norsk. Det er kanskje like greit! Antar at dere forstår meg...
