Do we know that Rodney Harrison likes black people? He used to hit them all the time.....

I know the Saints were not good this year but I think holding them to 6 points and the way that we made Drew Brees, albeit well past his prime, look so pedestrian was impressive. Nobody would count the Saints as a "good win" in this sense but the way we beat them was nearly as impressive as the Bengals win IMO.

It seems less people are excited about this playoffs run that 2011 or 2012. Weird because all it takes to make a deep run is a game where the Defense bails you out, just one game where your qb has an out of body experience and luck avoiding a juggernaut. I'll take an afc championship appearance.

The first time was special. The 2nd time was special because we had high hopes. The third time has a 'we've been here before" feel. Get past KC and we'll be more excited at the chance of the team getting past the 2nd round.

I mean, Brees was still pretty solid...almost 5,000 yards passing, 32 TDs to 11 INT, and a 101 rating. He easily had his worst game of the season against the Texans, which really tells you something.

Im pretty excited about what our defense can do in the playoffs.

You can go down the schedules of pretty much every good team and notice that most of their wins are against bad teams. That's why the good teams are good and the bad teams are bad.

9 of the Pats 12 wins this year were against non-playoff teams. The other 3 were against Pittsburgh, Washington and Houston. Not exactly murderers row.

8 of the Chiefs 11 wins were against non-playoff teams. The other 3 were against Houston (in Week 1), Pittsburgh and Denver. How many of those were "good" wins? 1, maybe 2?

Hell, the 15-1 Panthers only played 4 playoff teams this year. And 2 of them were Houston and Washington - 2 teams that a lot of people don't even think deserve to be playoff teams.

Even Denver is wildly unimpressive when you dive into their schedule. Don't tell this to the national media, though. It goes completely against the narrative they've already written about this season.

'12 was exciting because it was on the back of another successful season and we had super bowl hopes, but in hindsight we faded down the stretch that year and had no momentum.

'11 was exciting and all but deep down we all knew that we had no real hopes with TJ at QB.

This year? Lots of momentum and at least our starting QB is healthy. A win and a meeting with Denver would be lots of fun, but I fear our fate will be New England if we do win (assuming a Steelers win over Cincy). All in all I think this year is as good of a chance to reach the AFC Championship as the previous two playoff berths.

I think Chiefs focus on eliminating our run game and forcing Hoyer to beat them. They are counting on Hoyer throwing a few picks to their ballhawks while under duress.

This game is on Brian Hoyer.

I know.. that's why my original point was that it's hard to gauge matchups.

thats what happens when you have no franchise qb to get excited about.

And what happens when you get that franchise QB to get excited about, you get the first overall pick in the draft and miss the playoffs entirely.

The best win the Chiefs had this year wasnt Denver with an injured Manning.

    The Chiefs are overrated.

There best win was at Oakland.

NRG with this defense will be a bucket of realization to the Cheifs fans.

We need backup at BRB! LOL

They said JJ Watt couldn't win MVP last year bc we were 9-7 and missed the playoffs... right?

Well, we're 9-7 this year AND HE CARRIED US TO THE PLAYOFFS, in a way, right?

Honestly, he got robbed last year. And he'll get robbed this year.

But he still gets my MVP votes tho.

No way he deserves it this season...last year, he should have won...but this year, there are other candidates more deserving.
