Which poster did you get out of the Houston Chronicle? I got the YAO poster and it seems like the jerseys are computer generated but they look very nice! cheers
We officially have the gayest slogan, be big????? what the hell is that? What did they just want to change last years so they took out a word? man that is horrible, be big...
Well it's pretty easy to notice. It's with all the advertisements. And I got a Rocket red color poster with one hamburger fold and a big picture of Yao Ming.....and on the inside....it has Stevie, Yao, and Cat.
Now its time to ADD a little spice to this thread. To anyone who has a poster, GET THAT SUCKER OUT AND TAKE A GOOD LOOK AT IT! There apparently is a hint that MAY suggest that the "twin-tailed Type R" logo may really be just a secondary logo to the real thing. Here's my theroy. If you look at the seating diagram for TC on the back side, you will see that the "Houston R Rockets" logo is located on the shooting perimeter, usually where a SECONDARY logo is located on the court. Now look at center court, a place where you will usually find the MAIN logo. There you will see a logo that has never been seen before. On close inspection, you will see it is the "Type R" logo with a BLACK rocket shooting up the middle of the "R" and a black circle around the logo. Now for any naysayers I give this: .............for those who might say the Black Rocket is probably just a shadow of the "R", chew on this. If it were a shadow, why is the top of the black rocket's nose cone highest point of the logo, yet the the vapor trails of the black rocket fade evenly and consistantly with the rest of the logo? From a basic persepctive, if this is an attempt at a shadow, then its a poor attemtp at that. Shadows are supposed to lay in the background of the shape, not conform to it. And also note that if this were a shadow of some sort, why is there only a shadow only for the middle of the "R" and not for either side. A shadow always lays behind the object on the side to give the object persepctive. So therefore, this has to be a black Rockets shooting up the middle of the "R" All of this leads me to believe that the "Type R" may not be the official logo and that this image at center court is. Alos one more note...................for thos who have the Cuttino Poster, YOU SHOULd really trade it and not because of Cat's play of late. Why? Cause the REAL new jersey is NOT pictured on Cuttino, just a bad photoshop attempt. Of course, all of the jersey's pictured in the posters are ALL PHOTOSHOP'S doe pretty decently. But there is a bad mistake on Cat's jersey. On Cat's jersey, the red neckline of the jersey is SUPPOSED to be tapered and faded like the elliptical stripes on the sides of the jersey, just like Yao's neckline, not full throughout the neckline like the neckline of the Texans jersey. Did anyone notice else this mistake?
I posted about the court in the Downtown Arena section and it seems like it was just there for show. They cannot let the court be all red ala all blue like court they had the first season with the cartoon rocket, according to Jeff. They probably wont unveil the real thing till the open house this Saturday. Btw, I got Cat and Yao one. The Cat poster came to my house, will i took a Yao poster from someone who bought a paper at work today.
will someone please scan and post the pics of the of the court for all of us that don't live in houston or at least the posters.
