Last summer I had bulked to 265lbs. Right now I'm 217lbs. I'm planning on losing 17 more pounds for panama city spring break.

I was actually thinking about this as well. Not because i've never dunked, but because it would mean that i would actually be playing basketball and i'd be in better shape. I lift weights and run, but i want to get more into basketball shape...plus i want to play more while I still have some tread on the tires.

I am way too lazy for the plyometrics exercise requirements.
Running pickup and lifting weights are easier.

I never felt any compunction to make resolutions for the new year. I change my habits when I've resolved to do so. I think many resolutions fail because people are setting them according to the calendar instead of their desire to change. A couple of months ago, I decided to drink less which is coming along okay though I expect it will ebb and flow.

    How's everyone doing?

I'm doing decently actually, keeping up with:
    2) Eating fruits: I average 2 oranges, 3 bananas, 1 random fruit per week
    3) Reading books: reading for work has overtaken reading for leisure, but I'm covering a satisfying number of pages per day, rate
    4) Keeping a diary: I'm still writing! missed about 1 week at the beginning of february but I got back on track and am documenting my days well. It helps me stay true to budgets, control eating habits, and plan my days and manage time a lot better. I'm dedicated to this resolution

    Improve:
    1) getting into shape!
No doubt this was going to be the hardest one

I'm debating if I want to pull the trigger on a 4kTV or not. I own a 4k Monitor, and DirecTV is now streaming 4K. But I believe 1080P is still the most dominant resolution on the market, no?

All joking aside, I've made it my goal to eat cleaner (slowly but surely), workout, take better care of myself, etc.

I think 4k makes sense on a computer, but w/ lack of 4k content I'd hold off unless you're buying a TV anyway and get a good deal. Just make sure if you do go 4k route you don't get one that can't actually take 4k content when it actually arrives. And yes, most content still 1080, this reminds me of the SD to HD switch that was pretty drawn out initially. Once 4k is the norm, and Hollywood re-releases original films/new films in 4k versions it'll help. 4k broadcast would help too...

On a side note, it'll be interesting to see how well 4k blu ray does... Streaming in 4k is okay, but to get an insane bit rate w/o compression/artifacts etc Blu-ray is where it's at, and I'm hoping it works out. Then again most consumers are happy w/ ****ty audio quality (mp3 version only etc). Don't get me wrong I like streaming for convenience, but to really get the most out of 4k, the new blu ray format will be superior for the time being.
