They both are a disgrace, but I'll lean McGrady.

    Harden.. Give him time

This is tough year where everything that could possibly go wrong with team chemistry and defense has done so.

    It is heartbreaking

Tmac was a better overall player, period

Harden has accomplished more by default given roster talent & lack of injury.

    Tmac>>>>>>>>Harden

Come on, Tmac had more athleticism and explosion but skillwise they are close.

    Tmac had more wingspan, vertical.....

Harden is a smarter flopper, and driver to the basket

No Harden accomplished more because he accomplished more.

Romancing Tmac is romancing a guy who only played 20 playoff games as a Rocket and got JVG fired and got traded for peanuts.

Harden accomplished more because he accomplished more? That logic is stubbrn & simplistic. Harden had a better supporting cast and offense suited for his skillset. Mcgrady was just a better player period. If Harden's not hitting his shot hes pretty much useless. Mcgrady found more than one way to be you

It's pretty simple when people talk about Tmac they never think of team accomplishments

Harden had to play without Dwight most of last season and carried the Rockets

    http://www.basketball-reference.com/leagues/NBA_2015_leaders.html?lid=header_leaders

    Harden led the league in

    #1 minutes played

    #1 free throws

    #1 points

    #1 win shares

But keep romanticizing Tmac, who was our leader when in some of the franchises most embarrassing playoff loses.

You really just need one person on the team that is a leader.
One person that does not back down.
One person, when they play, they play with all their heart, and it pushes everyone to play harder.

Right now, we have no-one on the team like that.
It would be nice to have someone like Bob Sura, Mario Elie or a Ron Artest on the team.
Even Josh Smith Right now would be nice.

If your body fails it fails, there is nothing you can do about that. And dude tried to give it a go but his knee was bleep. I guess you forgot the man played with two major injuries and still lead us in pretty much every category in the Playoff's.

Funny how we have selective memory around here and only want to use certain situation hoping to validate our stance.

Not even close. I will take what James Harden has done as a Rocket over whatever mac did 10/10 times. Mac accomplished NOTHING with this team. If you are a supposed top 5 player, it doesn't matter who your teammates are. Harden is absolutely better than mac. This year sucks because we know how ****ing good Harden is and can be, yet this is the first year he simply isn't getting it done......TMAC NEVER got anything done, all he did was routinely disappoint fans. Mac was a raw talent, not a guy who routinely redefined and reworked his game.

Yeah, Harden redefines his flopping and get others to play harder defense to cover his ass. A leader that slacks off on efforts? What a disgrace.

TMac did not look this bad until he gave up, and we are comparing an injury ridden guy with a dude that has just played for few years?

TMac couldn't win with prime Yao, James has never played with a teammate on that level. He's a born loser. Harden last year was the best player in the League and led us to the WCF.

He won without another all star.

The western conference is a cake walk and look at were we are.

Tmac was up against a prime shaq and kobe, Nash and suns, elite Dirk with, Utah Jazz.. pretty there were more elite. We had a Yao with buttering erstwhile and a depleted ancient roster. Rod strickland, Clarence weatherspoon, David Wesley... all these players had a foot in the grave.

Drogba only knows about Drogba and perhaps thinks Curry and Harden are the new standard of the universe.

This era sucks in comparison to the past.

I hate to say this but "prime" Yao is overrated due to his influence and the fact that he was such a nice hardworking guy.

There were only two seasons of "prime" Yao I remember. One was 05-06 that came crashing down due to injuries. The few games he played that season he looked like he could be the best player in the entire NBA. The second was 08-09 which also came crashing down due to injuries.

He was very good in 06-07 (although the injured then as well) but got exposed by Utah in the playoffs. He looked like he was gonna go on a tear in 07-08 but he kinda ruined that season's hopes by yet again being injured.

Yao was always injured. It sucked.
